Maybe it's because this is the first Coldplay song I've sat down and listened to properly since Something Just Like This, but I think it's good!

Apparently from Everyday Life, which is my all time fav Coldplay record. They're both magnificent.

this screams Coldplay and I am here for it. It is cute, gives you all the feels and amazing. What more do you need? 

just found out via their Instagram that this samples a cover by my absolute favorite music act of all time, Sylvan Esso. They used the basic beat and sped it up for the backbone of the song and specifically asked them for permission. So cool.

i miss x&y coldplay, even the b-sides of that era are masterpieces (things i don't understand, proof, gravity)
