NostalgiawithDua Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Based on description, it isn't produced by Kevin. Only contenders left are These Walls, Anything for love and Falling Forever….. 1
Bookmark99 Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Training Season wouldn't stand out on FN at all...the chorus literally sounds like Break My Heart. Houdini does sound a bit different though. 1 1
mike_int Posted March 27 Posted March 27 I personally dont want promo single if there will be proper single on May 3rd 2
NostalgiawithDua Posted March 27 Posted March 27 According to PMB insider… Quote New song coming on the 11th.....It is the closest thing to FN, so far. Super super Pop. Its getting harder and harder to see this project as being a real departure from her previous sound. Well…….. 1 5

Soul Glitch Posted March 27 Posted March 27 19 hours ago, QueenofCopyPaste said: Her label / team didn't expect how Houdini and Training Season performed the way they did, so now they're hoping new single on April 11 will do better. The new single is produced by the same team but is the most reminiscent to the uptempo dance pop sound of Future Nostalgia. source?
Iris Posted March 27 Posted March 27 But if these walls could talk They'd say, "Enough" They'd say, "Give up" If these walls could talk They'd say, "You know you're f*****" It's not supposed to hurt this much Ooh, if these walls could talk They'd tell us to break up They'd tell us to break up These walls are telling you to fire Dukagjin, Dua. Listen to them! #DukagjinGettingFiredParty
Tyrion_LMG Posted March 27 Posted March 27 The description sounds amazing. I'm here for FN 2.0 sincerely

Augmented Posted March 27 Posted March 27 I think some people have potentially read too heavily into what Dua has said the album is influenced by and assumed it meant she was going for a complete sonic departure from her previous work. The early descriptions from both Variety and Rolling Stone have been "a hard-nosed pop record", "confident dance pop" and "this album is straightforward pop bliss, not unlike her approach to Future Nostalgia". That doesn't mean the elements of Psychedelia, Trip hop and Britpop aren't going to be apparent but she's more likely blending those styles with the more mainstream/commercial pop style she is known for. 7
Relampago. Posted March 27 Posted March 27 I saw an entire thread of ATRLers praising Ava Max for doing a backbend on her cover and praising her 70th sample and mass downvoting anyone who disagreed I'm not taking anyone's opinions on here seriously, as long as the song is good, I'm okay with it sounding like FN. Although we were told this with TS and there's no way it would fit with the noisy and reckless production, FN was pristine and glitzy… And that's not shade to TS, but both Houdini and TS have both been way more gritty than anything on FN, even if they're all electropop/dance pop songs. 1
Teacher Posted March 27 Posted March 27 (edited) 11 songs make it a pretty short Album around 30-40 minutes probably. Hoped for way more songs tbh. But as long as the singles are as good as Houdini and TS it'll be fine. Edited March 27 by Teacher 2
ahauntingnearu Posted March 27 Posted March 27 The only people blindsided by how psychedelic RO is actually turning out to be, are the ones who thought FN was suuuuper disco ddd 1 1
Bookmark99 Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Its pretty obvious from Day 1 that this was going to be another dance pop album, I think she just got shaken by criticism that all her music sounds the same so she started scrambling and making up some BS about "psychedelic" and "britpop" and other such nonsense when this is basically going to be another dance pop album like FN which is FINE. FN was a good album, it makes sense that she wouldn't want to deviate too much from that formula just yet, in fact if the next single is more FN-sounding, I'm looking forward to it. I'm actually glad she's one of the few pop girls that is sticking to giving us dance pop while others are moving on to other things. 4 1

DoubleRainbow! Posted March 28 Posted March 28 That Blood Records vinyl sold out in like 20 minutes, there were only 5,000 copies idk if it counts for the UK charts but it's a good sign, also the signed version on her website is sold out 1
Papi Juancho Posted March 28 Posted March 28 Both Houdini and TS are good, but why not promote? It seems like she only cares about being in the top 20-30 for months instead of fighting for the top positions. 10 minutes ago, DoubleRainbow! said: That Blood Records vinyl sold out in like 20 minutes, there were only 5,000 copies idk if it counts for the UK charts but it's a good sign, also the signed version on her website is sold out wow that's dope 1
