B-Luke Posted May 3 Posted May 3 These Walls is cute but I don't really see it being a single. Whatcha Doing on the other hand is a missed opportunity Illusion don't make that face
Shimenawa Posted May 3 Posted May 3 (edited) End Of An Era starts the album on a bad note... It sounds like a filler and it doesn't flow well with Houdini next French Exit, Falling Forever, Maria are good The latter half of the album is much better than the first part Edited May 3 by Shimenawa
Baltie Posted May 3 Posted May 3 (edited) In no way is this a BAD album, it's just not on the same level as Future Nostalgia which, to be fair, is hard to even surpass in the first place. Also, anyone who still says Radical Optimism and FN sound the same needs to consult an audiologist immediately! Personally, I was expecting something more "psychedelic pop" with the production of the songs, especially knowing that Danny L Harle is involved and I love him cos of PC Music and Caroline Polachek. Not to mention, I remember Dua saying in some interview somewhere that the album was inspired by UK rave culture. Girl, where? It's kinda giving Witness and purposeful pop realness Still love the album though. I'd give probably a 7-8/10 overall. Edited May 3 by Baltie
Bacardo Royale Posted May 3 Posted May 3 The album is gorgeous. I had low expectations after the singles, i'm pleasantly surprised 1

Phoenixstar Posted May 3 Posted May 3 Cute album, can be much better Trinity: These Walls, Happy For You, Maria
Phoenixstar Posted May 3 Posted May 3 French Exique was a flop tbh, and Anything For Love got so much better and then it ended.

Baltie Posted May 3 Posted May 3 Y'all can slander Training Season all you want, but I will not tolerate any hate for Training Season (London Sessions)! 3
K$Ellie Posted May 3 Posted May 3 this is actually her most consistent album, i don't think there are any straight up bad songs but very few standouts too

ANG3L Posted May 3 Posted May 3 There's some 3-4 amazing tracks, but overall is an underwhelming album with an odd flow (the singles are so displaced from the rest, It bothers me a lot) But can we really blame her? The bar was very high with FN being a perfect pop and unique album with remarkable visuals Houdini still the best song and Falling Forever is insanely good
CallumDavies Posted May 3 Posted May 3 Houdini sounds great in the album. Not every album for every single artists has be as exceptional as their peak. Future Nostalgia will always stand out. Just have to take her new offerings for what they are. Agree there aren't that many standouts.
JVSPER Posted May 3 Posted May 3 does the clapping bit in french exit reminds anyone else of fever? love the nod
B-Luke Posted May 3 Posted May 3 Okay Falling Forever is giving filler, I'll pass on that one. Nice vocal acrobatics though.
