Moonbeam Posted April 28 Posted April 28 I'd certainly welcome a song reminiscent of Cyndi Lauper's version of "I Drove All Night"!
mike_int Posted April 28 Posted April 28 (edited) I think people have certain emotional connection to Future Nostalgia cause it was pandemic album and it helped us through those crazy time. For me the same thing is "Whats Your Pleasure?" by Jessie Ware, therefore they put it on some kind of pedestal and will compare it to Radical Optimism. I feel like with the amount of new music coming out constantly and with the busy lives we are living many people don't take time to actually dive into new songs and create a connection with them, therefore they don't click with them just like songs which they listened during lockdown and had time to connect with them more. Asherio Posted April 28 Posted April 28 That user review kinda lowered my hype for it tbh At least Falling Forever seems like a great song. 1

Cain Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Watcha Doing being the next single material, the most psychedelic song AND the Pretty Please of the album song of the century incoming 8

ontherocks Posted April 28 Posted April 28 4 minutes ago, Solaria said: What does that have to do with anything.. it still sounds fresh and modern It's not like he never had a production job afterwards and... didn't deliver... Producers just like other artists have created some of their best works long time ago. It's not like they can walk into a studio and abrakadabra, create the same magic again.

Madonna and Orbit were great match because they could literally do whatever they wanted for ROL

She COLLABORATED with the producers she worked with, something that cannot be claimed by many of the pop stars we have today. Singers need to push their producers in order to avoid repetition... @T@ylor and J@ack...

It's a dance pop alboom. Of kors, Dua has an album to sell, so she's throwing some words around, but I am pretty sure she made the album that she wanted to make

Of kors, Dua has an album to sell, so she's throwing some words around, but I am pretty sure she made the album that she wanted to make I agree, I myself posted comment few days ago that I full trust Dua vision of the new album and that people dont understand the word "inspiration" Dua herself said she is a pop singer, so taking inspiration and certain elements and mixed them into a commercial pop is what I expect and that is exactly what she did on 3 singles we heard so far. 2 1
