It’s not tho. Most people are saying this because they don’t have enough knowledge of what’s disco and what’s late 80s synthpop. Most of them are just classifying any music based on retro influences as “disco” because it’s the only thing they know - since it was very trendy on mainstream pop music for the last 3 years.
