Yeah, it's definitely the original cut. The extended version really cements that they used the Let It Happen structure. And like Let It Happen, the shorter version hits way harder, especially when the guitar kicks in.

Girl you are a mess  Just know that the initial hype of a song wearing off doesn’t mean you dislike it, you probably just get tired of it and it starts to bop again once you get a break and come back to it

I can’t believe I’m saying this but thank god this is flopping. I need her to rethink the era and come back with something a lot better. To think that even album tracks from her debut, 99% of the unreleased (& even BWBB) sound better than this should really be a wake up call.

Lets be honest, DSN was top 10 and doing +3M at this point in 2019. Of course this can still grow after The Holidays but it's not looking good.

I hope it does because I love it and I would love the album to follow this sounds, I don't want her to change things if Houdini doesn't pick-up as expected.

Even if it doesn’t do as expected and underperforms, she shouldn’t feel discouraged and forced to restart the era. She is at a point in her career where she can afford to continue with it. She should be proud of her vision. I’m sure there’s a hit on the album.

It should be a wake-up call for you to book an ENT appointment, Houdini is way better than those duds. It's just not as strong as some of her other singles.

I do feel like some public exposure by a performance of some kind will give this song a nice boost. It’s not going to be a DSN sized hit but we can at least get a moderately sized hit out of this.

 

Other than some red carpet appearances, she hasn’t promoted the song much at all. Just needs time.

I really hope Houdini has longevity. If the atrocious Levitating copycat DTN was able to have success, Houdini should too, it's the better song and despite it being a similar Dua song it's just better than her previous songs (for me personally )
