The nonsensical jump in logic in a desperate attempt to get a reaction :toofunny2:

The only angry one here is you implying Palestinians should be subjected to apartheid just because they’re homophobic. :bibliahh:well then by the same logic Ukrainians should also be subjected to military occupation since they have a major neo-nazi (as in racist and anti human) ideology problem. I dont agree with either obv, but its quite literally going by the same ignorant logic of yours.

and fyi, I attended a queer friendly fashion show in Ramallah last month. There have been festivals that hosted queer artists there as well. Al - Qaws gay rights organization has active offices in Ramallah and managed to beat the government ban because of the overwhelming support they got back in 2019.

is it generally gay accepting? No. but so are countless other countries. To expect Palestine or Palestinians, who have been constantly subjected to colonialism, being put in open air prisons, apartheid regime, illegal military occupation, ethnic cleansing, racism, and active war every single day for the past 75  (if not 100) years to just have the same luxury of addressing gay rights issues as lets say, some European countries or the US (who only decriminalized homosexuality in the 70’s) is a pure orientalist pov that severely lacks context. But what can you expect from a person who supports the erasure of one’s people in the name of a quirky colonial adventure cause they get to win a free passport?

Condemning Russia in every other thread yet being pro-Israel is a very bold choice. Sam did the right thing and hopefully other artists continue to take notes.

so every homophobic country should be ethnically cleansed and placed under a brutal military apartheid regime that routinely kills their children?

I guess we should all support Russia now since Ukraine has a neo nazi problem (as per Amnesty International) too according to your logic?

That’s the dumbest analogy I’ve heard

Ukraine is also surrounded by a country that doesn’t think they have the right to exist. You will never be able to find evidence of me saying that Palestine doesn’t have a right to exist or denying abuse against Palestinians, because that’s not true and not my beliefs. But that doesn’t change the fact that Jewish people also have the right to self determination in their homeland. Both things can be true.

Supporting and defending North Korea while also attempting to take the moral high ground about human rights abuses is also a bold choice, by the way. :toofunny2:

And some can insist the same can be said about the Russians and their mission.

And not once have I ever defended North Korea unless it was to defend THEIR rights to defend THEIR country from The USA and allies. DPRK saw what happened to Libya and are smart to keep their nukes. No where have I ever defended anything else.

Could you please explain how this "self determination in their homeland" could be exerced without the displacement, oppression and denationalization of Palestinians (a.k.a. what's been hapenning for decades now)? I'm genuinely curious.

Well, the performance is not happening, they could’ve easily said “**** y’all” and did it anyway, social media had not effected them or this tour with every show selling out including this show , they did do the right thing…

“Palestinians have the right to exist. But only on 20% of their homeland in which deeply disadvantages them economically. Also, the 6 million Palestinian refugees who have a right of return according to the international law can be squeezed there as well, away from their home cities such as Haifa. See? I’m totally reasonable!”

You can save your “we came back after 2,000 years - 👨 🇺🇸 🇬🇧 🇺🇦 “ narrative all you want. It’s textbook colonization. Plain and simple.

To put it very bluntly and exemplify it for people who are confused by these Zionist tropes: this member believes that a teenager from, let’s say Argentina, who’s parents, grand parents, grand grand grand & grand grand grand grand grand parents haven’t touched soil on that land have more rights there than elderly Palestinians older than the Israeli state living in refugee camps 20 miles away from that land - which by the way they were ethnically cleansed from by Israelis under the pretense of “determination to live in their ancient homeland”. It’s almost terrifying how they all got brainwashed to believe this is even slightly normal.

I guess Italians should kick all of the British out of London since their ancestors built it?

Disappointed that you think it's okay for them to perform in a country that has killed and displaced my family, and to an audience of people that have served in the IDF by default and contributed to its genocidal and ethnic cleansing practices.

You all have no moral compass.

I’m sorry to hear that. my grandmother still has severe PTSD from being kicked out by the same Jewish family she welcomed in her home when they asked for help. And to think the average Zionist / Israeli sympathizer would not give a flying crap about these facts because Tel Aviv hosts gay orgies. Your experience is valid & is the truth.  :hughard:

It's funny how you think the entirety of Israel's population consists of white Jews from Europe and the US, especially considering Mizrahi Jews are the largest sub-group in Israel. Where else would they go if Israel ceased to exist? Surely not to their Arab neighbors who have an expansive history of massacring and expulsing their Jewish population.
