Not Glitch! My baby no. That’s like my favorite song right there. :cries:

I should have given every Bad Bunny song a 1. None of his noise deserved to outlast Glitch. :biblio:

Sweet Nothing is very nice, but not really an essential track. But Paris was too ahead of its time for certain people!

See overwriting is just as real as oversinging

When Taylor dials it back several notches, she can be quite charming and even quite sexy. I wish she would just take it easier sometimes!

SMOKING ON MY EX PACK

Average score: 6.13

High score: 10 (@a_d_22)

Low score: 1 (@305, @kandicha)

Finally leaning into the Wu-Tang Clan origins of her stage name, SZA goes hardcore emcee on this vicious diss track from SOS, dragging past lovers and wannabes alike over a chipmunk sample of Webster Lewis’ “Open Up Your Eyes.” In under 90 seconds, she reasserts her sexual independence, probably comes for Drake (“I got your favorite rapper blocked”) and proves her pen game with one instantly classic lyric.

Best bit: “Them ho accusations weak/Them bitch accusations true”

ATRL says…: “The old-school rap came awt,” @Rev8 praised. @madonnas dismissed it as an “interlude.”

Paris should have left sooner

poor sweet nothing but Florence did outsell so….

Dear reader top 100 :jonny5:

I dismissed SOMEP early on due to its brevity but it does bop and she squeezed quite a few lines that I really enjoy in there, including a few sampled in the post. :jamming:

I wish it was a full song! The short length really does make it seem more disposable than it should.

It does feel like an interlude but it's also a cute bop

This rate seems rigged

GLITCH

Average score: 5.99

High score: 10 (@Rev8, @4Real, @Achilles.)

Low score: 1 (@MP2K)

There’s a genuine sensuality that we so rarely get from Taylor as she recounts a friendship that unexpectedly became something more on this bonus track from Midnights (3am Edition). Soft and warm, the woman who is always giving her 110% rides the chorus with an ease that feels like a “Glitch” in the matrix. The bluesy slide guitar only enhances the mood. Too bad Taylor is betrayed by her urge to overwrite, stuffing lines with too many syllables and cringeworthy references (“situationship,” anyone?).

Best bit: “I think there’s been a glitch” makes for a great hook, whether as the falsetto opening line of the chorus or its sigh of a closing refrain

ATRL says…: “Pretty unique song,” @Rev8 said.

how did this **** outlast question, mastermind, and sweet nothing

Pleasantly surprised that HH and Mid have received the most exits and not the Spanish albums/SOS!! :jonny2:

I thought they were going to get massacred

Not Question…? being the second midnights song out in yet another rate  why doesn’t anyone else love it like me

LAX

Average score: 5.59

High score: (@a_d_22, @CBC)

Low score: 1 (@madonnas, @creativity.)

The least developed of the new songs on the Motomami+ rerelease, this sketch about the perils of Rosalía’s growing international fame – you can hear her putting pen to paper on the a cappella first section – runs only 90 seconds. As she dodges paparazzi in a Ferrari and parties through jetlag, “LAX” doesn’t have much fresh insight to offer on what is by now a well-worn trope in pop music: feeling trapped by the spotlight.

Best bit: “Alguien nuevo quiere algo de mí/Muchos más cuchillos en el VIP”

Lax, linda pa' mi flex
Nunca linda pa' mi ex

Un Ratito and Smoking On My Ex Pack deserved higher!

Posted

Yea, BB's album deffo deserved more track OUTS

feels like HH and MID only get these early kicks cuz of their bad rep and that users are SHEEP

Posted

Glad to see some Midnights cullings have occurred.

Nothing much to say about the songs that left in this update although I quite liked Un Ratito.
