He’s literally the biggest country artist since Taylor. (Sadly). He’s the only one who has even permeated mainstream headlines (albeit for very different reasons than Taylor at the same point in her career.) Not to mention Speak Now, her third album, is exactly where she got her first platinum opening. Yall, I live in the southern USA (Texas) and y’all cannot fathom how much college aged, 18-25 (the CORE Streaming demographic) year old white men and women LOVE him and his music. He’s to country what Drake is to HipHop. Pack up your bags everyone, the year we thought would belong to women is over This is a reach. You can't get 1M without a SMASSSSSSH amount of pure. He can def pull 100K pure, but I'm not seeing anything above 300K. 250K pure would need 750K SEA which is close to 940M streams. No way he can do that

They should just count the 25 most streamed songs for hot 200. Although I'm curious about how his audience will react to this, because they are still too perched on his previous album that they may not go as hard for this one. Also, I don't think that he will block Miley, this tactic is useful for longevity or for debuts by acts with mainly younger audiences like Drake or Taylor. the UK chart does this thing where only the Top 12 most streamed songs count and the Top 2 are weighted down so just 1 hit can’t carry an album for ages. It has benefits and drawbacks because the chart is now clogged with greatest hits albums but it does make everything more fair.

GentleEarthquake Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 Musical pollution. Humanity is truly rotten. Our days are counted
TalkThatRihanna Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 This is 1000% blocking Miley. The singles for this Era are even doing great on Spotify without major playlisting
Flanders Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 Interested to see how he will deal with the controversy. Hopefully he will deal with it on this album. His music isn’t amazing but it’s good, and he has such a great voice. I wish it didn’t go to waste on mediocrity

There is a big difference between 23 and 36 songs

family.guy123 Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 Hope this news pushes Dangerous back into top 5. It’s been slacking lately

timothymincer Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 Now I’m hoping Taylor drops the 40 song Speak Now bomb on him the same day. 👀 Prob won’t happen since they’re technically on the same label, but I can dream.
Luckitty Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 A terrorist threat 36 songs he's never leaving the top 10

CaptainMusic Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 This racist redneck about to block Sza from the Year end #1 ugh. Taylor needs to release a quadruple album and stop madness, she’s the only one who can.
KillingYourCareer Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 Unhinged, borderline terroristic behavior.
anti-bitch Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 This album's gonna pull huge numbers in the first week.
