I don't know how to feel about 9Muses comeback. Last time they did a reunion stage they didn't invite all the members. And some girls just knew about it whent the performance was online.

Le Semi and Sera were particularly pissed especially the fact the songs they perform had literally their vocals on it.

not one lie was told :siptea:

I'm sorry but whatever happened to Tzuyu is not Chaeyoung's fault, second of all, while this incident is tragic and irresponsible, this doesn't make Chaeyoung a bad person, so she doesn't owe us nothing, maybe she owes a bigger apology to her fans but that's it, she doesn't have to be put in the spotlight and humiliate herself for this, what's the difference between Knets and international fans if we are going to hold idols to the same horrible standards knets do:michael: and tbh instead of focusing on others wrongs we should start focusing on our owns.

Fun fact their company has basically the same exactly people than StarCrew/Ador&Able etc many other name  they had.

This is their previous group, Hotshot.

This group disbanded because of the mismanagement of their label. To the point of fans had to rally phone the company and mail them everytime to promote their artists.

I'm not to hopefully about Fifty Fifty career in the long terms.

People still pretending Chaeyoung's shirt was a Buddhist or Hindu person wearing the symbol to promote their religions and not a whole white man using the OTHER symbol :deadbanana4:

nobody is saying that

you guys are just shocked that Chaeyoung and billions of people around the world don’t see the symbol and scream in horror because it’s such a sensitive topic in your own environments :rip:

"she didn't know it's bad! the symbol means something different in asia!"

meanwhile the shirt doesn't have a religious context and has a different meaning

I can’t speak for other users but my post was a reply to that user who was implying “Swastika was used by the Nazis during world war so no one should care about it’s real holy meaning or significance anymore”…which is wrong in so many ways.
there was no specific correlation to Chaeyoung in that context.

But Chaeyoung is different from regular Asians unfamiliar with the symbol in that context

She has been immersed in the Western world and travelled for years let alone she's been active online

The fact that she even knows who The Sex Pistols are enough to stan their bassist but apparently doesn't know one of THE most recognizable symbols (in that context) in history?

Well, this is really such a dumb mistake.

I don't believe for a second this girl truly support naz*s but this is ignorance to the max.

In this time and age.... even 5 years ago, the situation may have been understandable as I know Koreans live kinda isolated because they only use NAVER and such to search information, it is very ethnocentric.

However, after seeing multiple groups fall onto the same mistake (My beloved GFriend)... it really makes me wonder: do idols live in a bubble? Do they learn nothing? Is it that easy to ignore what has been told to them again and again?...

Also, Blinks should stop with the fake concern, the false screeshots and anything over this matter because their faves are very good at ignoring the criticism too.

Not to defend CY as I’ve never cared for her

but korea/japan are notorious for selling shirts with  the most random nonsensical, sometimes offensive to foreigners, prints

i really don’t want to believe she purposely chose this shirt :chick3:

agreed

it’s very unfortunate and offensive but it’s hard for me to believe that she knew what that means and still wore it

This the state JYP wants to promote their groups internationally? Imagine if an american artist started releasing songs in korean, promoted in South Korea, and then posted a picture on instagram wearing something with the rising sun Japan flag :skull:

Considering how many instances of kpop idols posting or wearing something with a nazi symbol on it but somehow that's not a big problem for koreans, I would consider there's some sort of systemic lack of acknowledgement of how bad the symbol is. Kinda how like in the west some japanese restaurants use the imperial flag but it's not considered as much as an offense. Not that this is an excuse though, I thought it was common knowledge for people that you always have to search what something on a shirt means, especially if it's in a foreign language :rip:

it’s not that obvious when you consider even latest choices of JYP’s stylist :rip: Q anon and c*nt tshirt just in span of two weeks

and you’re absolutely right in the first part of your post! like, they are offended to the max if someone says Chinese New Year :rip:
