as i said before, girl give it up. it's getting very tedious. there's nothing wrong with liking newjeans, the majority of the the people in this thread do ffs, but dragging other groups to hype up newjeans is getting very annoying.

I'm just expressing my personal opinion. Saying a song sounds dated is far from the harshest things this thread has said. People are literally calling all kinds of idols ugly or has-been, but I'm out of the line for saying a song is bad? Don't you think calling me deranged or delusional is much more insulting that calling RV's songs dated demos? Please stop.I already told you I'm happy for other idols who are writing and producing. Girl ppl can stan who they want, regardless of their creative and artistic contributions. If ppl can stan talentless girls who cant sing, dance or write in Western pop, then ppl can the same in Korean pop. It is what it is.

 

Besides, Kpop’s biggest selling point has never been “artistic or creative control”. Its just an added plus but if the music is still **** or not to your liking regardless, then what’s the point of stanning then even if its written by them.
 

Its just funny how you parade Newjeans as some “creative geniuses” when they are probably contributing the same level as SM acts or Twice  and its not like thats whats selling Newjeans. Ppl like Newjeans for the music, the sound, the image thanks to MHJ. I doubt anyone is really into Newjeans because Hanni wrote a verse or something.

you keep acting like what newjeans does is oh so unique when countless other groups having songwriting credits, enjoy their music and contribute way more to the creation of their music. that is deranged and delusional, and if you think thats some horrible insult then stop acting deranged and delusional.

If only it were that easy RV and f(x) would have blown up years ago when MHJ was still at SM. I genuinely don't understand you can treat artists like nothing but puppets then stan them at the same time but you do you. Keep praying the companies don't feed your favs trash I guess, because it's literally all there is to Kpop isn't it.

And you think NWJ’s “creative genius” is what selling them and not the fact that they are from a Big 4 Company pushing them to the forefront with the most accessible and trendy image rn? You mentioned f(x) and RV which do not have that accessible and trendy image that NWJs has.

I literally never said any of these. Also if NJ's songs are planned years ahead, then how come they are also the "most accessible and trendy image rn"? Queen MHJ can predict the future I guess. At least pick a narrative.

Yeah tbh the korean charts are as boring as the Hot 100 now. Same songs in the Top 10 for 20+ weeks  I miss the days when being in the Top 10 for 10 weeks was considered an achievement.

min hee-jin was only the creative director for f(x) and red velvet's visuals, along with other sm groups. she had nothing to do with their music at all, which a simple google search would tell you. you keep saying all this delusional crap and then have the audacity to get mad when people call you out for it.

The only thing I see in NJ & TXT (to some extents) to SM (SHINee & f(x)/ early Red Velvet) are this group are doing FULL FLEDGE concepts. That goes from Imagery to music to clothing to cfs. I don't hear anything relatively close to these groups sounds.

 

But then again we're in a thread where people were calling a group BlackPink wannabe because they were standing in front of a black wall with pink light and the song or concept literally had nothing in common.
