aesthetic bih Posted February 19, 2023 Posted February 19, 2023 She's so talented (and wow even writing her own raps!). I wanted to like her as a rapper so bad but the blaccent is so prominent. Her singing surprised me tbh because it's really good! I prefer it over the members pushed as "main vocals"

The rest, no comment. Murk and Visuelle the best male and female rapper in HYBE SM history (Haters will say it's fake) @Taeyong

It's kind of surreal that she managed to have kind of a good career with her image etc. considering how conservative and brutal Korea can be. She also gave f(x) a uniqueness, but although that set the group apart, it also limited them a bit. I don't think she was ever really comfortable with the "rap" image either. SM forced it to her as the English speaker and because her Korean was not good in the beginning. She's (slightly) better as a singer imo. Edited February 19, 2023 by Zack
Blueberry Kisses Posted February 19, 2023 Posted February 19, 2023 If anybody robbed us of a 4 member slay in f(x) it was Victoria. I've been here since 2nd gen and I have literally never seen a relevant group have a member so useless. She served literally absolutely nothing from start to end and on top of that had, in my personal opinion, one of the ugliest vocal tones of all time. I have nothing negative to say about her on, like, a personal level (cause I don't know anything about her except that she's a terrible actress) but as an idol she was truly the bottom of the barrel.
Zack Posted February 20, 2023 Posted February 20, 2023 Red Velvet the only group on this list without an international label/distribution deal. Queens...But fix it please HYBE, or whoever takes control of SM...

BP, TWICE & SKZ being top 4 Help the gap from BTS and the rest Stray Cats being the 2nd most streamed male Kpop act and 4th kpop act overall despite only being a 4th gen act RV is definitely the dark horse of SM, and their success is very organic despite SM not giving a damn about them They are technically the biggest and most successful gg from SM if we only go by paper and stats such as streams and sales. Haven't they outsold SNSD as well? The fact that they are in trinity with BP & TWICE just shows how big they are, since none of the other SM ggs prior to them had to compete with the likes of BP & TWICE. The biggest mystery to me is how SM shelved RV and EXO globally in favor of NCT and SuperM, when the previously mentioned duo was always more popular in the West

Gwendolyn Posted February 20, 2023 Posted February 20, 2023 (edited) I feel terrible for SM artists, all of this is going to make the company look worse in the long run.. instead of having stability and acting professional, their weaponising their whole brand and fans for.. BUSINESS WARS? Edited February 20, 2023 by Gwendolyn

Zack Posted February 20, 2023 Posted February 20, 2023 (edited) 16 minutes ago, Ryan said: Would South Korea block international expansion of K-Pop? Probably not. The President getting involved is probably just mediaplay so that he can look "useful" or whatever. However, SM mentions in the video that if the acquisition fully goes ahead, HYBE would supposedly control over 60% of all of Korea's top selling artists and they kinda have a point. The risk is HYBE at that point would essentially have a monopoly over the K-Pop industry, with strong powers to stamp out any competitor...which brings a high risk of industry stagnation and then decline = bad news for international exporting. This is one big reason why strict antitrust/competition laws exist in nearly all developed countries. Edited February 20, 2023 by Zack
conquxror Posted February 20, 2023 Posted February 20, 2023 my god this week is going to be insane… sm’s video and reasons are actually pretty damn good
