The narrative that every single swiftie will switch once the numbers roll out makes absolutely no sense. Lover is 4x Platinum and still charting 160 weeks later and I don't see it in anybody's top thr

It was just pure speculation since we know nothing about the sound of the album (and probably won't until October 21st). And you know my taste is excellent, so nice try missy

Anyway, to echo some of the posts above, I can actually imagine this album being similar to Blue Weekend sound wise. It would be a natural progression for her.

Whew just imagine...

Tyler giving us her own Blue Weekend would actually rival folklore as her best album so I would like to see it. I'd like to see her try again cause she came close in that same year. The #1 on my wishlist is still her psychedlic soft-rock magnum opus.

TS13 will be her psychedelic rock masterpiece, TS11 and TS12 are going to lay the ground work with soft rock and dark electropop. :gaycat: Bookmark ME!

Just preordered my vinyl & cassette. On October 1st I’ll preorder another vinyl and the CD. And then on release day I’ll buy the digital album, and if she puts out any signed copies I’ll snatch that too. i’d love nothing more than a 1M+ debut but anything between 650-900K would be astronomical. I hope she can at least get the biggest debut of the post bundle era.

That's what saying plss

They better be wrong cuz I swear if she serves any of that **** I will fume :rip:

I just hope Taylor isnt going overboard with wanting acclaim and its a complete snoozefest. Folklore and evermore were AMAZING she already got the acclaim she wanted now let's go back to making music for the masses :foxaylove3:

Also I truly hope that Sun article is wrong about her collabing with friends and that it has more collabs.... STAY AWAY FROM HER YOU VULTURES! Leave the collabs for the vault tracks :fish2:

Her last attempts at making music for the masses were ME! and YNTCD, do we really want?

Midnights is going to be dreamy 90s inspired alternative rock meets  grunge meets synth pop

Not y'all wanting another Folksnore or Everbore... What we need is another global pop superstar 1989 kinda album :gaylorcat2:

Do we think a single is coming this Friday? :chick1:

The way the people calling these absolute masterpieces snoozefests are the same people wanting this to be another pop album à la 1989/Loser/Rep with Fad Martin producing. Pleaaaaase. :dies:

She knows now what we like. We bullied her about those songs so she will never again make **** like that thankfully :giraffe:

I’ve noticed that almost all Obsessed Folkmore Haters have a certain album as their #1 and want Taylor to serve a “dark pop” era. That is the LAST thing we need:bibliahh:

Omg can people stop mentioning Rosalia and ha colonizer music :deadvision: this puta will bomb to oblivion if she ends up serving that garbage and rightfully so

snoozefests [8562317863]

We want upbeat music.

I'm literally giving this blue weekend album a listen and so far it's just snoozefest after snoozefest. Even ME!asles has more replay value than this :bibliahh:

Waittt now this one is kinda hitting :eddie: I'm sure it will go back to borefest tho

Right? Her going back to that sound would be the biggest downgrade she's ever done. Good thing she's smarter than that. Even if Midnights is a "pop album" I can see her going for a Beach House-esque dreampop sound or maybe a 90s electronic album.

We really do need some producers / genre tea so we can put an end to these insane conversations and these Max Martin stans can give up for good.

Edited by State of Grace.

both sides of this conversation are silly

what we need is an album that is a genius experimental masterpiece yet able to appeal to the masses, something like Ray of Light
