I randomly heard Gypsys, Tramps & Thieves play on a radio station in North Carolina, the day after Christmas. (I don't know if it's a southern thing, but the stations there drop Christmas music immediately after Christmas is over.) My sister was driving and I was in the passenger of our sister-in-law's car going from Shelby to Asheville, and while the reception wasn't that great, we were able to make out the song. It had been a while since I last heard it before that, although I have been streaming it a lot lately on YouTube because it appears as a recommended video.

I am so amazed by how well beloved this track is. Cher herself made jokes on how badly it flopped but the streams will make you think this was a noteworthy hit in the 90s.

"Believe" was #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for 4 weeks in 1999, and was the #1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 Year End Chart 

 

"I Got You Babe" by Sonny and Cher has reached 221,961,911 streams on Spotify. "I Got You Babe" was #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for 3 weeks in 1965, and was the #16 song on the Billboard Hot 100 Year End Chart.
