The singles are cute. I wonder if her other singles are going to be tacked onto a debut album?

I doubt it, I kinda expected all her past singles to be part of a long mixtape, but it didn't happen sadly.

I expected all these songs to be part of this mixtape:

Picking Flowers

My Way Out

Ascension

Angel Numbers

Bloody Knees

Boys Wanna Txt

Dainecore

Salt

(not including b-sides:  4444 and dying)

+ 7 Quantum Jumping tracks

A 15 songs mixtape would've been nice.

she slays i like her

I really hope her upcoming album or EP after this mixtape has more songs like Angel Numbers

Charli XCX's protégé did it! What a wonderful project.
'cemetery dreams' is a fantastic opener for the album, a soft beat that pushes the listener through the album. the male voice present is so good and interesting, like it's an invitation into her world. 'weekends' follows the same path, idk y but this song reminds me of Halsey! 'black and blue' decides to "step back" into a more softer vibe and ambient, offering a wonderful soft vocal distortion. 'glitter' falls down into a majestic ballad. 'comes and goes' is a good track but not my fave.
wonderful. :clap3:

How sweet, thank you, here I go:

  1. cemetery dreams: 4/5 song, super catchy, I adore the hook in the chorus.

  2. weekends: 4/5 super similar to the previous track but with "more punch", I love how she pulls out those hooks and make a super simple song into something very catchy you can sing along.

  3. black and blue: 4.5/5 it starts very ballad-ish and then the chorus comes out of nowhere, the production is more intricate than the past two songs even though the production seems simpler, if that makes sense lol.

  4. IDC: 5/5 best song on the mixtape, I love how it connects so well with the previous track. I adore how aggressive is this song during the bridge. The production is amazing and a great throwback to mid 00's emo without the guitars and drums, a whole new 20's emo twist!

  5. glitter: 2/5 definitely the worst, it's ok-ish and kinda boring.

  6. comes and goes: 3.5/5 the most emo-ish of the mixtape, I really like the overall mood of this one.

  7. new ground: 3.5/5 I really like the production of this song and is a nice wrap-up to the mixtape.

loooove IDC but didn't really care for the rest

I get that, IDC is the album stand-out.

If you want some songs similar to IDC make sure to check these ones:

maybe it's "too ballad" for us lol

Yeah, maybe lol.

I expected better but I still thing most of the songs are pretty good!

Now that these old songs are out, she can focus on the newest, hopefully is more like Angel Numbers and Dainecore.

maybe the weakest point can be found in the fact that the album "sounds almost the same". this phrase hasn't to be misunderstood, but a new "ear" can have this vibe!

these are more interesting than the songs on this, i feel like the trap beats tend to make her songs sound cheaper but it works on idc :giraffe:

weekends are comes and goes are my initial fav, pretty great. :giraffe:

yeah, most of the mixtape sounds almost the same, while her past singles are vastly different from each other. But hey, that's just a mixtape made of old songs that she wanted to release ASAP so she can move to the next ones :)

I agree, artists should be careful using too much trap, or else it might sound cheap and uninspired.
