All I Want keeps on smashing.  I wonder if she will post about the new song next week?  I think she realized on tour that people love AIW and don’t mind her bringing up HSMTMTS.  I think she originally thought people would look down on it, hence the crickets last year and it not being on the original set list for sour tour.

I think she didn't wanna be seen as a "disney girl" so early in her career but maybe she's ok with talking about hsmtmts now seeing how she attended the premiere or whatever that was and posted about it on instagram (and if disney made her do these things they will definitely make her post about the new song lol)

Agree on the early career point.  I don’t think Disney forced her because it wouldn’t make sense for her to not have to do any promo last year when she was a main character yet doing much more this year as a guest star.  I agree I think last year she just didn’t want to be seen as a Disney girl when she was just starting out.

we don't know i think they definitely altered her contract from 4 to 3 seasons in exchange for her releasing the documentary on disney+, so maybe they also asked her to promote the new season

 

but idk i'm just speculating 

the VMA noms feel like token nods  she won’t win anything, i’ll be surprised if she does get 1. then again it’s MTV, no show from her means no win and she doesn’t really have anything to promote. that red carpet appearance for HSMTMTS was enough.
