Vegvisir Posted October 1 Posted October 1 Hope all the OGHers have their fun while it lasts - how kind of Gar to gift them with a surprise pop standards covers companion EP so they have low numbers to celebrate for once! What makes it even funnier is the continued dominance of DWAS happening at the same time!
ineedboxinggloves Posted October 1 Posted October 1 (edited) It really hasn't hit me until now that we're getting the LG7 LEAD this month, im so excited to see if it's any of the snippets/leaks we've heard or another song, we will also probably get a music video and some more information / visual aesthetics for LG7 as well along with the single. We're so close. Edited October 1 by ineedboxinggloves 4
IBeMe Posted October 1 Posted October 1 I know yall will call me delusional but I feel like Gaga's acting style reminds me A LOT of Nicole Kidman. Like she has potential to go there. She has a unique acting style but if I had to compare ito any of the major film actresses of our time it's more Nicole than Cate Blanchet or Glen or Meryl etc...This excites me a lot about her potential. She just needs to churn out more films. 9

I hate that she will likely only keep it for this mini Harlequen era. I want it even for LG7 tbh...the more she reminds me of Mylene and channels her energy the better. Gaga was ALWAYS more Mylene than Madonna 1

Aden Posted October 1 Posted October 1 Love that there was crying in the base around July/August that the LG7 hype was "dead" and "squandered" after we got the snippet from the Chromatica Ball and now those same stans are crying that a completely unrelated jazz album/movie "killed" said non-existent hype 1

Oh don't worry, most of their faves have upcoming film projects, be it soundtracks, directorial debuts or biopics. We will be sure to book first page seats and multi-page residencies in those threads when they bomb into oblivion and unlike Ga, they will NEVER be able to cross over successfully to the film industry either 3 2
Colmillo Posted October 1 Posted October 1 I hope Kimmel asks Gar about LG7, she'll probably just say "soon" but hopefully she'll spill some tea, since it's already October 5
Canonical Ensembl Posted October 1 Posted October 1 The way she serves looks in the Instagram era looks much more comfortable than the last decade when she had to physically walk out into the streets to bait the paps. 1
Namiskine Posted October 1 Posted October 1 (edited) Is it OGHs taking over for one day (only for them to be whole a*s clowns) that is getting to your heads or are you just overwhelmingly pessimistic? Edited October 1 by Namiskine typo

Yes she is also a music star but Gaga does not spend a lot of time on her eras and usually has massive gaps between singles, tours etc. She has PLENTY of time to film more movies in leading or supporting roles or to do small streaming series etc. It's precisly her choosy tendency that is costing her a lot of hype. Most big actresses film a lot of duds before landing on highlights. She needs to be less scared to miss the mark. Work with tons of directors and go full throttle. Rip the band aid. 1

TrymeB Posted October 1 Posted October 1 Per deadline budget is $190M+ Quote Todd Phillips' musically infused sequel, Joker: Folie à Deux is currently not expected to emulate the business of the first 2019, Oscar winning Warner Bros movie, Joker, which ultimately wound up as the second highest grossing R-rated movie of all-time at $1.07 billion. Worldwide looks better than domestic, at $140M to a now lower projected $55M-$60M U.S. at 4,000 theaters with all the tricks of Imax and PLF screens. Original domestic forecast was at $70M+ when it hit three-week tracking. The first Joker blew past its $80M domestic projection with the highest opening of all-time at $96.2M and outstripped its $155M WW forecast with $248.2M (2019 figures unadjusted for inflation and currency swings). Still with a net production cost of $190M+, Joker: Folie à Deux's expected business at this point isn't bad for exhibition, and not necessarily bad for the movie itself. Who doesn't want a movie that opens to $55M and $140M at the October box office? Anyone not want this? Why so serious, industry? 1
