She is the only redeeming thing in that telenovela. It is shocking how it managed to gross so much As would have been ASIB (a third remake!) without Gaga. That's why I feel it's her STARPOWER that made ASIB and HoG big BO HITS. It wasn't the story or the direction or the male actors. Edited April 3 by TrymeB

Vroom Vroom Posted April 3 Posted April 3 That Tammy Faye performance was a mess and probably one of the most forgettable Best Actress wins this decade. If Gaga wins BA one day, I hope it is for a giant unforgettable movie 2
Marry The Gods Posted April 3 Posted April 3 Not my cousin texting me that she's been obsessed with haus labs lately and just spent almost $200 on a bunch of products. I know Gaga would be proud 1 8
Almodusa Posted April 3 Posted April 3 I think Look What I Found is the most Broadway song Gaga's done 1
Miracle Posted April 3 Posted April 3 3 minutes ago, Almodusa said: I think Look What I Found is the most Broadway song Gaga's done It had potential, but with Ally's "sweeter" range it lacks impact outside of the movie. Imagine Gaga's deeper voice on Look What I Found! Would have been an Amy Winehouse serve

EnigmaticAndroid Posted April 3 Posted April 3 (edited) Atp in his career, Ridley is only as good as his scripts and the script for HoG was an abomination. Poorly written characters, uneven plot momentum, little to no perspective on the real life events its trying to portray, and the plotting is a fat mess. It felt like it was written with no thought. It's a miracle that Gâr was able to give such a strong performance with that material. Edited April 3 by EnigmaticAndroid 3 1
hausofdave Posted April 3 Posted April 3 (edited) even Joaquin could do so much w the poor editing/direction of Napoleon Edited April 3 by hausofdave

That's what always confused me because ASIB and, arguably, AHS Hotel had great scripts but like, what was she thinking when she read and accepted the role lol Were there rewrites? As someone said before, the beginning is great and then it just becomes a trainwreck and hard to follow...
Miracle Posted April 3 Posted April 3 So I don't think people noticed but RideOrDie confirmed today that he knows when LG7 is being released. I wonder if they have like a deadline (that RideOrDie knows) even when the album's not finished. I guess planning to release a record has to be done months and months in advance for physicals production + commercial strategy
State of Grace. Posted April 3 Posted April 3 HOG was kinda more enjoyable than ASIB for me although the latter is obviously a much better film. Her performance was also better. Maybe its the CAMP factor. If only she didn't completely disappear towards the third act(?) when it got too boring with the Gucci business snoozefest 3 2

To be honest the film starts great and every scene Gaga's at she kills it but then it becomes a mediocre Ridley movie for old straight guys when they give the spotlight to Gaga's nemesis Adam Driver 1
