I'm not buying that her label is not fully conscious that 'Chromatica' was an album release under the most weirdest and worst circumnstances ever with a first single leaked 2 months in advance, it can't really be used as an indication for how her next album will perform, not to mention at this point 4 years have been passed, all the scenarios are possible.

It could have done much worse with the way that whole era went (with the world problems and so on) imo. The only thing very bad about Chromatica was the longevity but overall it really had some very nice achievements. Anything could happen with LG7, I don't think we should look too much into Chromatica to see how this next album will do because we can wake up with her actually promoting her album pretty well this time and that could also reflect on the album holding much better than Chromatica (because Gaga overall is a promo sensitive artist)

I also don't see Gaga leaving Interscope and am not sure she even should, they've been a pretty good label for her overall and changing labels is almost always a risk.

The only few actual issues I've had with them have been the way they entirely mismanaged the streaming aspect of Joanne (though some of that blame could fall on her individual team) and the fact that they are notorious for pulling the plug on songs on radio basically the minute they get bad or even just mid callouts, which is not just a Gaga exclusive problem and seems to be just the way they work unfortunately.

Yeah, the Billie Eilish talk by HasItLeaked yesterday was just some bulls**t.

I love Billie, but her last era was lowkey a mess. They kept releasing song after song to see what sticked (Your Power, Lost Cause, NDA) and nothing really did. Then they ended up with Happier Than Ever, which got a #11 peak. Lol.

Yeah It's not guaranteed that she will get better promotion or better team if she moves to another label, and tbh I also have the feeling that she might be uncomfortable to do that since she had some very bad experiences in her past. From what I've heard, it must have had something to do with her contract when it comes to streaming promo during Joanne (it wasn't renewed) because right after Million Reasons with The Cure, she suddenly got some streaming support

If TCB does come out I hope it’s edited similarly to TMB. From the clips I’ve seen of Rena and Eras, they have too many quick cuts which make them look fan made at times, just like that clip ^

She's not going to release a Pj Harvey Rid Of Me album, david bowie station to station or a Carole King tapestry ballad driven album. LG7 will still be a pop album with a blend of multiple genre influences sort of like Born This Way but more current and rock-oriented. I don't see her ditching richy but I think he will be 'less visible" during the next era.

Her own stans helped ATRL on this with Joanne unfortunately, they make out it flopped and it got the hate narrative that ARTPOP got :giraffe:

this was so good. I can’t believe how difference her vocals sounded throughout 2009 to the studio, and they changed on every performance. I don’t believe Gaga could find an impersonator of her voice :dies:

Finally, someone with TASTE. I made this gif because this performance is such a slay

Hold up. Is the "Billie release" thing talking about WWIMF? Because if it's talking about album rollouts, that's a whole different story (and lines up with whoever was saying rollouts/promo 'aren't the same as they used to be').

Both of Billie's albums had leads come out in summer months with multiple singles, and the albums dropping 9-12 months after. They may want 1-2 singles in Q1-Q3 to last through Joker + the album late Q1/Q2 of 2025. The singles would give her legs to sell tickets for a tour beforehand for '25. It also tracks with the ASIB comment. Obviously it helped her brand and everything, but it would've been a whole different world if she had an album/promo ready to go right after Shallow. Also this way, they can extend out giving her a deadline which seems like a dealbreaker for her.

With that, Gaga is very keen on keeping acting and pop music as separate as possible (a smart move imo), so she probably wants everything either before or after Joker rather than doing the long single drip, which could be the internal conversations going on.

Anyways, back to finishing my Clown Labs makeup for the day.

This never crossed my mind but it’s an interesting theory. It kind of gives the best of both world where she can avoid going 5 years between original music but then also use Joker hype to sell an album. It is kind of risky if the lead doesn’t catch on though. Because that hype has then been wasted and it can be harder to get the momentum going again.

And while Therefore I Am and Happier Than Ever (s) did end up being hits and doing well on streaming, the 5-6 single rollout of Billie’s last album was kind of messy. It would’ve been a lot better to just release TIA as the lead, HTE the week before the album was released, and then drop the album as opposed to what ended up happening. I think more than 2 pre-release singles can do more harm than good at this point. Though if that kind of rollout results in us getting more than 2 singles per era overall, then I’m all for it.

I feel like she might want to make a huge splash in 2024-2025 and then proceed onwards to different projects and perhaps family life after. If she is releasing the album in 2025, that'll drag her ass all the way to 2026 award season. But perhaps they are really going for a longer era that starts in 2024 and ends in 2026.
