I'm glad 'Judas' was a hit on my country, it wasn't perceived controversial in here, I never felt like it was a misstep for the era.

That was the same era as MTN Video where her acting was subpar

I kinda want her to stop chasing for awards tho.. like maybe DUNE or House of Dragon or White Lotus plz

No TV shows please.

I wasn’t around during artpop era so I missed a lot of gaga being Gaga. But if anyone remembers was Gaga basically managing herself during the entire era?
artpop concept seemed  all over the place and even the visuals she kept changing the overal aesthetic every couple of weeks this was very noticeable during applause era. I felt like she finally got it perfect “GUY” doing a high art concept with Greek mythology and it matched applause video. I understand Gaga wanted to be controversial and did crazy things like DWUW video and collab and the whole throw up thing. But it seemed Gaga was lost creatively and sounded good on paper but not really work out in action. Plus it seemed like she just couldn’t stick to one concept for the era. I’m ne week she was a burnet with little make-up and look more raw, another week she was doing high art concepts, and another week she was doing party girl  edm girl concept. I kinda wish she did release artpop act ll in order to continue the era even if it would just be a deluxe edition just to save the era with new music and  finally a well structured concept for artpop.

maybe I am just being to optimistic I always felt that artpop era could’ve been saved with proper management but I feel bad that she sorta give up after GUY it seemed like things were getting better at least professionally. I think that type of concept would be perfect for the remaining of artpop era.

I understand some people said that Gaga was on drugs and severely depressed but anyone can give any insight I will appreciate it.

was there any chance of artpop era that could’ve been saved?

her manager Troy abandoned her a week before ARTPOP came out so there must've been a huge lack of support in the weeks leading up to it- I think legally she still can't talk about the situation. She was severely depressed because of that situation and how she was treated by people she trusted when she could no longer walk after her injury in early 2013, which is what the G.U.Y. video is about: the men in suits shooting her down with an arrow for $$$ followed by her getting submerged in the pool to heal and then taking back control.

So management wise the entire era was screwed from the beginning and she was also treated extremely harshly by the media about her looks, how she was over, articles based on lies, which is why she was in a very destructive path.

Yeah, just imagine the amount of great outtakes this photoshoot had. Why couldn’t they just choose something unreleased (that would require no effort from Gaga herself) for the 10th anniversary? It would’ve sold many, many more copies. Her team is just impossible to understand.

They're just a bunch of unprofessional ppl wbk.

I wanna know who's the mastermind behind the idea of releasing a 10th anniversary edition full of covers:khalyan2:

She didn't go all out. Her declaring May 23rd as Born This Way Day in West Hollywood was cute but the actual btw 10th anniversary cover album was awful and it's not like it required her involvement.

Girl that's all out for her lazy ass standards :deadbanana2:

I think she's going to go all out for her 20th anniversaries like every other artist. 10th and 15th anniversaries have never been that big of a deal. Artists like Xtina, Rihanna, Britney, etc have never gone all out for their 10th and 15th anniversaries. 20th anniversaries is when artists feel more celebratory for their work. Britney sold pink vinyls and a new repackaging along with adding "I'm So Curious" to the tracklist for BOMT's 20th anniversary. Xtina did the same for her debut album and for Stripped's album with adding "I Will Be" to it's tracklist. The Fame's 20th anniversary is in five years. We shall see.

Can't wait for another vinyl that's almost identical to the ones we already have

I hope during this hiatus they plan things right for the coming rollout and step up their game on streaming strategies and physical collectible variants and formats.

Also considering Tony's team involvement next year may result in some actual celebration of Cheek To Cheek's 10th anniversary.
I know it's a divisive album in the fandom but you can't deny the impact it had on Gaga and how responsive Tony's team is on this kind of things. A vinyl worth buying may come, yay.

Planning doesn’t do ****. The music just has to connect with the gp. Cast some spells to make it work.

Hopefully Tony's team pushes her to release Paradise for C2C's 10th anniversary.

I agree but generally it works that way when the artist is no longer that profitable or prolific so the label wants to capitalize on the projects already out and loved by fans.

Personally I think a 25th is nicer than 20th anniversary but I guess any 5 years I'll be delusionally waiting for something to come.

With BTW they probably played around the fact that Gaga proclaimed it the album of the decade upon release and actually wanted to do something for it, Gaga herself, and turns out it still is being talked about 12 years later :rainbow:

Yes and no. Music being actually good works in the long run to keep the album alive and rightly make the era successful but this antics I was talking about (variants/streaming) are just how nowadays industry works and she's behind on that

I highly doubt anything directly from Gaga's involvement would come but maybe a repackage with bonus tracks (I'm sure there are plenty unreleased, even just winter wonderland) and a new vinyl. That'd be enough :alexz3:

The fact that they did merch bundles with Chrome's rollout says that they can adapt with the times in some respects at least. But yeah they need to have the vinyls ready to go, top-teir playlisting on day one, a radio deal in place (I have confidence in that at least), autoplay if it's allowed, good cybersecurity (no ******* leaks please), and releasing when there isn't a ton of competition. I still can't believe they released HMH on a random ******* Tuesday, didn't put it on TTH for 3-4 weeks, and then by the time they did it's in the 30s. The song was attached to what was arguably the most anticipated movie of the year. It should have gotten a Friday release with a simultaneous high placement on TTH. Obviously there's only so much an artist and their team can do to make the music connect, but I hope it's not set up for failure by having a botched rollout.

She should really do a sort of evolution of BTW with her next project and going in that direction again but knowing her, she will do the opposite of what people expect.
