as much as I wish DWAS wasn't on LG7 for the sake of coherency (yes I know we haven't heard the album blah blah don't quote me) it would be silly for Gar to leave one of the biggest hits of her career as a droplet. her hands were tied and I'm sure the label pushed for her to add it before Bruno snapped it up for his next album. also despite what atrl says (including some of y'all) the song is really good and is critically acclaimed, it's not like she's shoehorning in some generic trend-chasing rap or kpop feature. everything about DWAS, from its creation to its success, happened organically

How much got Disease?

I'm really excited to see how they will try to make the era big. I'm still not sure how I feel about DWAS being added, but there is no doubt it will drive people towards the album (besides bringing numbers) and I hope it doesn't sound disconnected to the rest. I trust Gags + her team, though. They will find a way to make it all make sense.

 

What will people think when they listen to DWAS and then Abracadabra follows?  

 

Will it be another Harlequin case (the first song driving people off from the much better following tracks)? Or will the music be more accessible for GP? There are so many scenarios! Bombing or not, it will be interesting to follow.

I think the key to its placement is in what she said:

 

"It leaps around genre in a way that's almost corrupt," she said. "And it ends with love. That's the answer to all the chaos in my life is that I find peace with love." 

 

So seems like DWAS will be towards the end, like the penultimate track or so. I still don't think it would be the closer, more of a respite moment a la Y&I.

DWAS would be the perfect album closer. I imagine the second to last track being a song like Billie's HTE (a heavy distorted electro pop/rock song with a crazy outro) which leads into DWAS
