PI and SL just didnt connect with audiences. Not everyone is going by on their days thinking "I want a stupid love" lol, and PI while one could relate to its lyrics, it dont think the sound and screamo vocals were very pleasant to general audiences. And I personally dont think PI was "playing safe", the sound was very different for her and again, the screamo vocals could annoy a casual listener. 1
