It wasn't that far-fetched at all, it overperformed with nominations, even getting a music video nomination for a simple shoot in the studio and the engeener one that usually AOTY winners gets, there wasn't a massive big album in the run and it was last Tony album that in the 90s managed to win AOTY with a live cover album.

 

Of course it won engeener just for lose AOTY, last year Gaga was truly unlucky when it comes to awards. that makes a better argument.

Future Nostalgia you have a point, but Dua was making a name for herself so that makes sense.

LG7’s release date depends on if JFAD gets a hit or not. It is unpredictable if it will. 

Pretty sure the reason that Chromatica didn't come out during the post-ASIB hype was because Gaga was privately going through the worst time of her life and wasn't focused on finishing the album until later in 2019.

 

I think as fans we should remember that Gaga is a woman with a big complex life and doesn't exist just to churn out albums one after the other to meet a quota set by fans, she sometimes just has other things going on.
