that is not what happened at all.  Katy herself wanted Small Talk.  She was sure it was a hit cuz that minimalistic Ed Sheeran sound was popular then.  The video had Nugget in it and everything.  That's totally all Katy.

so far we've been hearing only about the visuals  it's exciting but also worrying like why is no one addressing the music???

Not necessarily. It can be also a physical sticker like what they did on the Witness album. It depends on what they wanna do!

Yeah. If it was like a year old and had 1B+ streams it might be cute on a deluxe version or something... but as is, unless it fits the vibe of the album completely, I'd rather all new material.

That wouldn't be so bad considering her team keeps postponing the release. There's no perfect timing to release, if it's meant to do good, it will, regardless if released on May 31 or June 14.
