We're all mulling over what's coming on Jan 14th and now we're hearing there is a doc. Probably Homecoming-style leading up to the performance and a BTS of it all. If it's not dropped in a few days (aka before Jan 14), I think that would almost confirm that the announcement isn't anything Act III related. Because I couldn't see her dropping what effectively is an Act II doc amidst a whole new era. That would be a little messy. Overall, though, I can see how a Halftime BTS doc could serve to benefit a CC tour as a promotion of sorts. Not as the Jan 14th announcement but as an ancillary promo. At the same time, IMO that would mean kissing goodbye to the idea of the RWT film coming to streaming (anytime soon) as it would simply be another version of the same thing.
Cbreezy Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago On a separate but related note, I guess we'll see when and how the visuals eventually roll out. Because, rather interestingly, it seems Netflix seems most interested in pairing up with her for her live/performance engagements. At least from the outside looking in. I wish we had some concrete tea on her partnership with them. Is the 3-project deal still in place? Is it a first-look deal (hence why we heard that she was shopping the visuals to other streamers, which she'd technically be able to do if Netflix passed on them?) Is it still in place, thus making Halftime Project #2? Would the visuals, if landing on Netflix serve as one project or multiple? So many questions, so few answers. 1

Burn Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago She really elevated Texas Hold 'Em live.... like the studio version feels so inferior now. Why does she do this every time. 4

Really? Besides the delicious outro vocals, I'm on the fence about how the song translates live musically. It felt a bit 2D sonically (not the performance). By contrast, the horns gave Jolene a fuller feel and elevated it a lot. Texas isn't my fave Bey song, but she usally has a knack for making "those" tracks pop (Top Off etc), but Texas felt relatively untouched compared to the studio version IMO.

My computer and laptop don't even support that! And after this tour announcement I won't be able to upgrade my pc that is about to lose windows 10 support. 1
Anvarie Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago I just watched it in full for the second time on Netflix (first was live and low quality tbh) wow… no one is seeing her. Period, point blank. We need to stop arguing with anybody that questions her talent or her artistry or her vocals or her presence. That was a masterclass of a performance should be. Top to bottom perfect excellence. Easily one of her top 10 best performances ever. Arguably top 5 of the best she's looked in the past 14 years performing aesthetically speaking. What can't she do? These tour tickets will be purchased even if I have to take out a loan idgaf! 6

Yeah I love those outro vocals especially I'll never not be able to hear that in my head now whenever I listen to the song. The instrumentation during the Pony Up section also really brings it to life I thought. Agree with Jolene too. Tbh there's not many songs in Bey's discography that doesn't sound even better live. That's just the type of artist she is. Edited 13 hours ago by Burn 1
