Chris Posted September 1 Posted September 1 This is also one of my favorite tracks from the album and I don't care what an ugly gay in here thinks. Beyonce looked so good in the music video. 3

TizTiz Posted September 1 Posted September 1 (edited) "Survivor" was such an experimental album for the girls to show their fun, sassy, care free side. They gained the right after the monster success of "The Writings on the Wall" and the public conflict and adding Michelle permanently. It was a new birth DC that was completely different. That said, the album was axx❗️I loathe complete albums that are bond to a specific time frame. "Survivor" is just that. It makes it worse that the lyrics are embarrassing, a lot of songs are cheaply produced and it feels like an album crafted for their old fourteen selves and not the women they were becoming. "Destiny Fulfilled" was the perfect, TWOTW as well. Both albums are the peak of the respective dynamic with different members. How the ever, I will question why hasn't an "Apple Pie à la Mode" first verse+chorus arrangements has not made it to one of Bey's shows, in the midst of the funky, bass driven acts. It's reminiscent of the play on "BLOW", "Sweet Dreams" and "Naughty Girl". Edited September 1 by TizTiz

Leave 'Survivor' alone! It is not as bad as yall make it out to be. It is their weakest effort but it's stronger than a lot of these girl group's discography. 2

TipToe Posted September 1 Posted September 1 Survivor is Destiny's Child's B'Day, it's more on the poppy side but still marked by RnB flavour, is spontaneous and creative. I like it way more than Destiny Fulfilled for example, that was too "embellished" production-wise, if you know what i mean? I even like the debut better than DF
ScorpiosGroove Posted September 1 Posted September 1 the way she irreparably botched this trilogy nonsense should be studied going from what could've been one of the biggest moments in modern pop culture to something so uneventful and boring that not even die hard stans give a **** is lowkey impressive (in an embarrassing way) 1 2
FLAallday Posted September 1 Posted September 1 Survivor having 'Apple Pie a 'la Mode' instantly makes it iconic case closed 1

In other news: It's wild that since this graphic she has two more LARGE #1 albums, and charted another 40-odd songs on the Hot 100 with another 3 #1s + 6 Top 10s. They counted her out, and here she goes with a whole other career of stats in the 2020s. 1
TizTiz Posted September 1 Posted September 1 1 hour ago, Devin said: survivor is a cute 6.8/10 album yall needa stop. And that's incredibly, amazingly generous❗️I had to go back to the album last night, to make I wasn't being too harsh- there's only SIX good songs, one being the outro! When looking to their other three albums, "Survivor", the album, not the massive era, is such a stain on their career. That's not a bad thing, but shows their incredible will to growing, musically, opposed to so many of their peers, then & now, being stagnant. 1
