Fleahive Posted May 6 Posted May 6 I streamed half of flamenco because I was feeling down. Turned it off when it didn't help. 1

No wonder she is like that. Sometimes this thought pops out in my mind. It's crazy that she hasn't shot a music video for any of her singels in the past few years but if for some reason it had something to do with her feeling "bitter" after BIK i totally understand her and i'd starve the gheys too if i were her. The problem is that she teased visuals, we know they were being made, perharps not completed but phew.

Fleahive Posted May 7 Posted May 7 (edited) I've been watching Juke Jam's Beyonce reactions and it's nice revisiting her work through a first time viewer's lense. I haven't revisited a majority of the self titled videos for over a decade. Now that I'm watching a reaction to all the videos I have to say self titled is her best visuals. I never realized some of the videos flowed into one another until the reactor pointed it out. Pretty Hurts -> Ghost -> Haunted -> DIL flowed without being a forced storyline (BIK). Despite self titled visuals being less high end than Lemonade & BIK I think the creativity of each video is what makes it the best collection. Lemonade has too many stare into the camera for no reason moments for me and BIK was too cgi and weird. So basically: Self Titled visuals > Renaissance visuals > Cowboy Carter Visuals > Lemonade > BIK. With that said Hold Up is the most visually pleasing video she's ever filmed. Erotica Posted May 7 Posted May 7 I really thought she was going to be at the MET gala, considering all that we see are fashion shoots on her Insta. I can now go back to pretending she's working on something bigger in the background and we need to be patient to see it…

BeyBronts Posted May 7 Posted May 7 Just ONE MORE TIME I want her to show up to the MET and cause an absolute meltdown. 2014 we got Elevatorgate, 2015 she stole the whole damn show and in 2016 we got the pimple dress... then she really said: 1

And I feel like a total hypocrite as a stan because of it (stay with me)... She's basically a celebrity to celebrities. Just like we saw at the Grammys, they all fawn over her and essentially uphold her status as sitting "above" everyone. And call me elitist, but I'm here for it because - on the merit of her talent alone - she is. She also earned said status. As someone who actively loves the regality of her present day positioning and has followed every step of her ascend to this royal title, I kinda sorta feel her playing in this space now is arguably below the type of premium she is asserting at this point. She was already **the** must see attraction 12, 11, 10 years ago. So, competing for column inches and headlines a decade later with the likes of Kim K and newcomers like Tyla and even Julez (who attended) doesn't really "fit" with the scale of celeb she is today. Because of this, though, (much like all the other places she doesn't attend), we the fans are once again left with no content. And during an "era" at that. It's the catch 22 of it all that I feel torn/hyocritical about. Because the reality is that the scale of Bey's celebrity (which essentially is her being this generation's MJ, Prince etc) is hinged on mystery, premium, and event-izing her presence. A big part of that is being a rare, "limited edition" spectacle. The less she's seen, the more it means when she does pop up. Still... There's a balance to this that I think Bey and team ought to perfect. Especially during an..."era" lol. Edited May 7 by Cbreezy 5

My mental health is saying what if it's another FWT DVD situation. I watched all of B'day and now I am currently watching Sweet Dreams and remember being so happy that it was in colour (in 2009) 😂 1

That Kendrick Not Like Us / Bey VMAs 2003 edit got my social algorithm showing me a bunch of old Bey performances and I'm sitting here flawed like it's the first time I've seen them (when in reality I know every single frame lol). Like her hunger is palpable and jumps out of the screen. There's one BTS clip (I think from the RTW shoot) where she stresses why she "has" to get the choreo ("you never want it to look like you're counting steps in the mirror...you have to become the move"). Who else - then or now - is on that? That is literally MJ and Prince personified. It's huge part of why I put up with her shenanigans, because a crumb of "that" fill me with a joy and satisfaction that just isn't in high supply from other acts these days. I listen to and love a lot of current music, but it's not lost on me that Bey is one of few (if not the only) act/s carrying on the MJ baton. I'm actively savoring the "now" because I'm getting the impression that the buck stops with her. 5 1

king_queen Posted May 7 Posted May 7 (edited) Woke up this morning and remembered when Beyoncé flew to Brazil, had the Renaissance stage built, told them to shut the **** up, then flew back home. One of her biggest markets, mind you. American/European Hive should never complain. Edited May 7 by king_queen 7
