To the people that keep saying you love Lemonade that much, are you truly still streaming the album from beginning to end to this day? Im being serious I really want to know if you are still listening to it like just from time to time or like still a lot !

i feel like its just too "mid tempo" in general. And I love Bey when she's loud or when she gets me in all my mood. And for these kind of albums I prefer when they are more rnb

Blackbird deserves a spot in Lemonade, it is THAT much of a skip

good night yall and see yall tomorrow with the visuals I guess

i wonder what's her relationship with Florence Welch. i remembered that their families come from the same place, so i googled them a bit. it seems that they're both fans of each other. Beyonce said she was inspired by her and Florence talked about Beyonce approaching her at the met gala

If I had to recast II Most Wanted and Levii's I would chose GarGar and Bruno. I would've preferred them tbh :suburban: Who would y'all choose?

It's a good album, for sure. Great in some regards.

But I will always maintain that it's the least "Beyonce" sounding album of the bunch.

When your average fan or even GP thinks about Bey, they think of bangers, ferocity, dancing diva, and vocal pyrotechnics.

Lemonade is slow, more serious in tone, melodically mellow, lyrically dark, and holistically pensive. Perfect ingredients for the album she was striving to make at that time and the message she wanted to relay, but it doesn't bear the hallmarks of a "defining" Beyonce album in the grand scheme of how most perceive and receive her.

IMO, I really feel a lot of Lemonade fans confuse/conflate the enormity of the ERA (which encapsulates Halftime, the surprise album/movie hybrid, the tour, the endless racial and political discourse, and Bey's undeniable ascension to a new level of Pop culture icon because of all of this) as being solely down to the album and its material.

For me, the true hallmark sign of the true take on Lemonade is how many people call for its songs to be performed. It was crickets when everything but Formation was left off the RWT setlist. If it truly is as essential to her discography as some make out, I'd argue that fans (at least) would still be buzzing about its material.

IMO, it's a very necessary chapter of her career and I really wouldn't change anything about her discography and its ordering. But I'm definitely in the camp of those who think Lemonade actually gets a little too much love from some of the fandom.

I definitely believe in and welcome the fact we all have different taste palettes, but I've ** kinda sorta** noticed (admittedly from a small sample size) that a lot of the Lemonade lovers skew newer fans (became Hive around ST onwards) so arguably don't "know-know" the true DNA of Bey's sound (dating back to DC). It also seems to be the album most popular with the non-Beyonce stans (e.g. Swifties etc). For reasons somewhat obvious. Like even a lot of this CC discourse has been eye-opening. I've seen so many "I haven't liked a Bey album since Lemonade and that was the only album of hers I truly loved...until CC" lines and yet the flaw-free Renaissance is sitting right there...as is 4...as is ST. The clear thread being their more clear Urban anchoring.

I would keep Miley and Post tbh. I was skeptical about the Post feature but he sounded so good on Levi Jeans. Miley has the natural twang in her voice so she fits the soundscape of the genre tbh. I  highkey wanted a beyonce and bruno collaboration though. I was visualizing Bey dancing on bruno on a music video like Cardi B in the please me music video. I miss the visual artist Bey.

I'm trying to think of somebody, but it just made me realize how much we're lacking VOCALISTS nowadays. :suburban: Poor Bey, her back must hurt from carrying the industry.

(I'd keep Miley and Post, they did their thing.)

Lemonade is in her best album trinity but is not number 1 to me. I love Renaissance and CC way more than Lemonade even though Lemonade is a masterpiece to me. I was just so surprised to see some of her stans say Lemonade is her worst album when I am Sasha Fierce is right there lmao.

Me too :'( sometimes i think she got burned out visually after BIK and then was discouraged after Ren visuals didn't turn out how she wanted (could be completely wrong tho)

Right and it's not even about the charts I just want to see Bey on a music video. Ren and CC are too good to not have any music videos.

I guess when Kenneth is that much of a disgusting bum, it's not shocking they resort to conservative media. Just like their mother would do.

Shaboozey is really about to get a hit. I'm kinda shook. He's no.85 on Apple Music US and his song debuted on US and global Spotify.

Ugh, I am so happy for him. I really hope the song becomes big.

Outside of the fact that it's clearly a lie what I hate most about stuff like that is the misogynistic need to make her husband central to her career. It's so weird. I'd rather they say she paid it herself.

And 20M€ and yet they still didn't play her?

It's a fantastic album. I feel like it has to do with streams being the pits.

You HAVE to be in the mood to listen to Lemonade all the way through. That's what puts it a tier below CC, Ren, ST and B'Day for me.

COWBOY CARTER would've been the perfect for their collab, but who knows

Florence is one of my other faves, and I would die if it ever came true

You are not seeing the Post Malone vision. Levi's Jesus will get a boost when his song with Blondie comes out and then another boost when his song with Morgan Wallen comes out and then when his Country album drops. I have to applaud Parkwood for this culture shifting single treatment

tbh I think I'd love Bey featuring on a Florence track more - that kind of ethereal vibe would be so different for vinyl errorteuse

like Bey having a haunting moment :jonny3:
