Anvarie Posted April 1 Posted April 1 I feel like for this album it's easier to say the songs you don't like, there are too many good songs to make a top 5 (kind of like Renaissance)

This era is so well thought out considering the changes! The visualizers also kind of go in order (if you look at them all together). Those songs are so beautiful.
Nippy'sReceipts Posted April 1 Posted April 1 Is Matthew really that gangster/evil? Damn. Daughter has me side eyeing him lol. I have a feeling this is gonna be her biggest white crossover since IASF album.

It's Cuff It Wetter/90s R&B on steroids with that guitar background that gives it just enough uniqueness. Just stunning. 1

satellites.™ Posted April 1 Posted April 1 Ooohwee Tyrant is 6 Inch's sister, I feel it now. And OH at these lyrics, she is pissed, she is embracing the mistress, did they have a threesome? Did she become the mistress for sport? This song is CRAY CRAY, wtf? Hangman is a metaphor for the mistress and Bey kills her on Daughter but she comes back, I assume Beyonce begins to emulate her at some point as a way to appease or regain power over him. This film is going to be... omfg.
satellites.™ Posted April 1 Posted April 1 How did you turn your heart to stone? I don't want him back, but I can't let go... Hangman, answer me now !!! You owe me a debt, you stole him from me I hated you once, I envy you now Just tell me how, tell me how

sillycilla Posted April 1 Posted April 1 I don't like the pk4 review. I was a bit worried some critics would use Beyoncé pushing herself into the genre against her or not get it.

P4K still very much believe in Bey as an artist i'm happy that now the new york times and p4k reviews are behind us. while they may not match or exceed renaissance, they're still acclaim 1

Feels like bday era a bit. Lol
simon Posted April 1 Posted April 1 She has 3 100's and a 96 (so far). So I still feel good that the score will stay above 90. 1

Reverie Posted April 1 Posted April 1 Way too early to be actually debating anything but CC is my fave both as an album and as a collection of individual songs. And it feels right that album is also her best album vocally and lyrically, she made sure everything was right. Nothing beats all organic instruments, she probably missed that herself and that has to have contributed to why she said it's the best music she's ever made
