Pepo Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Quote "I think people are going to be surprised because I don't think this music is what everyone expects," Beyoncé says, "but it's the best music I've ever made." She hardly ever makes such statements concerning her music. We can tell indeed how deeply she cares for this album. 3

Run a REN vs. CC poll again in a few months and it'll be a different story I can bet you that. Not really. I remember Renaissance winning over Lemonade when it was released. Also, now that we know CC was supposed to come out first everything makes a lot of sense. Because Renaissance feels more like an evolution from CC than the other way around. It's like she took notes on everything that worked and didn't on CC and conceived a truly immaculate record with Renna. I know a lot of you are riding on the fever of new music but Renaissance is clearly more polished and refined as a full body of work start-to-finish. Now I'm sure she's tweaked some things on CC after Renaissance's release but between already having made those 'films', a knee surgery, developing and doing a massive world tour I think those changes were most probably minimal. I do think this is more personal and close to her heart though from the way she speaks about it. Edited March 29 by AxelFox 1

She made sure to remark that 4 is the album that she prefers multiple times last year. She also loves DIL. CC completes Bey's trinity. At least now we are sort of aware of what a plausible album rank of hers could look like 1
RadioactiveLights Posted March 29 Posted March 29 My awe and amazement for Cowboy Carter has made me hunt down her bonus tracks. Oh boy, her first 4 albums are a mess Not to mention the botched tracklists on streaming Spent a few hours rearranging songs on Apple Music and making them as close as possible to the CD releases 1

aaron511 Posted March 29 Posted March 29 I have a strong feeling Act III will be the visual, not another album 1
luxurious Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Praying the gospel influences on the album will finally put an end to her Sunday Spotify DROPS 1 3

Kristie Kuwa Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Just listened to Im That Girl right after Amen. OH MY ******* GOD, it works PERFECTLY that ding sound at the end of Amen sounds like an elevator, and then u enter the Club, and ur in the world of Renaissance 2
Lovett Posted March 29 Posted March 29 The way I have the album playing on repeat on Spotify on my work laptop (with headphones plugged in) and then Apple Music on my personal laptop to maximise streams on both platforms. 1

BEYcred Posted March 29 Posted March 29 WHEW. This woman. What an album. What a vision. What artistry. We truly stan greatness.
Arrogant Posted March 29 Posted March 29 All the super palatable songs are hitting for me rn, but I know that as the weeks go on, the more intricate and experimental songs are going to grab a hold of me. Immediately after Renaissance came out, PURE/HONEY was a skip. Then after 2 weeks it was in rotation. Now it's my most played song. I don't really have this experience with other artists, I either love it or hate it. It's like I get to discover the music over and over again 3

You have to keep going back to them and every single time you are hit something new you hadn't suspected when you first listened 1
