It almost sounds like chronologically it goes back to Renaissance. I can see ITG playing right after Amen. These visuals will be the end of me 1

BnPac Posted March 29 Posted March 29 So when people said Beyoncé (of all people) was preparing an exposé on her husband, did they mean Jolene? I will stand by her, she'll stand by me. I'll stand by him, he'll stand by me I'll cross those valleys, highs and low and everything between That exposé is juicy indeed.

blackoutbritney Posted March 29 Posted March 29 I love how quirky she's gotten w her sound as she progresses with her career it's very rare to see such intriguing reinvention so established into your career. She's in a league of her own

Redporus Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Still speechless, on my second listen. All I can say is this album is musically THEATRICAL and sonically CINEMATIC at best. Can't properly review until like the 3rd or 4th listen. SO MUCH to DIGEST. 2 1

The spaghetti Western is a broad subgenre of Western films produced in Europe. It emerged in the mid-1960s in the wake of Sergio Leone's filmmaking style and international box-office success.[1] The term was used by foreign critics because most of these Westerns were produced and directed by Italians.[2] Leone's films and other core spaghetti Westerns are often described as having eschewed, criticized or even "demythologized"[3] many of the conventions of traditional U.S. Westerns. This was partly intentional, and partly the context of a different cultural background.[4] The album is an experiment indeed. Each song is its own version of a reimagined Western film. She took inspiration from films like "Five Fingers For Marseilles," "Urban Cowboy," "The Hateful Eight, "Space Cowboys," "The Harder They Fall" and "Killers of the Flower Moon," often having the films playing on a screen during the recording process. Some aspects of the percussion were inspired by the 'O Brother, Where Art Thou?' soundtrack, where it was more Bluegrass. This body of work undulates from singing cowboy and Blaxploitation to Spaghetti westerns and fantasy with Beyoncé weaving between personal experiences, honoring Black history, to exaggerated character building. The limited-edition vinyl depicts a microphone in the shape of a gun ala Thelma and Louise running from the law, but the gun is invisible, hyper exaggerated reality. Mother does do easter eggs, the stans just have to be educated enough to hunt them down. 5
TROPICUM Posted March 29 Posted March 29 kinda pressed renaissance is winning against cowboy in my comparison thread it'll hit them later that smashboy carter IS the superior act 3

Cowboy Carter is better in my opinion. 1

Draper. Posted March 29 Posted March 29 So she buries them old ideas at the end of Amen and then starts her un-american life in Im That Girl. Can't wait to hear some SOPHIE and Arca productions on act iii. 3

Run a REN vs. CC poll again in a few months and it'll be a different story I can bet you that. Edited March 29 by Burn
