Kanye missing the 8th is nothing. Vultures 1 was meant to be released on 9th Feb but it ended up dropping on the 10th. He’s always a couple of days late but he will drop imminently.
storminthedark Posted March 9 Posted March 9 iirc Taylor submitted Midnights for vinyl production in May and released in October and Harry’s House took 6/7 months for vinyl production. I don’t know if that’s affecting the preorder for the album. If she wants to avoid leaks it could be that plants are so backed up with the number of big releases this year that they can’t cater to her wishes of producing just for her. 2

Starshine Posted March 9 Posted March 9 Oh my mind is dangerously approaching barbz territory of conspiracies. Everyone and their nonnas has music this quarter, like I know Taylor is coming but can they not wait until Q3/Q4? What’s happening? WW3? Alien Superstars? Elections?
benyonce Posted March 9 Posted March 9 6 hours ago, Cbreezy said: Legit question and one that doesn't come with judgment or an angle, but I'm curious... Do y'all really have no care or investment in whether the album sells or nah? Would a 120k debut and capping out at 500k-600k...be ok? Do you think she'll magically go back to selling 300k+ for act 3? I've seen a lot of "well, its sales won't affect my enjoyment of the music or era" and "she can do what she wants" remarks. That isn't the question, though. It's more a case of: are you totally a-ok with an underperformance for this album? Again, I respect everyone's takes and don't look at my own as gospel. It's just kinda ironic to see the pushback on anyone who doesn't have this hyper-relaxed attitude to preorder-gate when...the vast majority of those same people are camped in the Texas Hold Em thread monitoring its hourly performance. AND...were the same people, during Rennie, pulling their hair out about her leaving the album for dead when the only track doing streaming #s was Cuff It. It kinda gives the vibe of more of us being Chart Hive than we like to admit. There's those who play that card when there's success to claim (e.g. like Texas), but turn around play it down during quieter windows ("she has nothing to prove")....only to be the same ones complaining mid-era when there's any kind of underperformance that other stan groups are given license to clown us for. Then there's those (like yours truly) who are unapologetic chart hive and want her doing big numbers every time because she is a big artist (the biggest) and drops music worthy of that. An admitted drawback being that it can sometimes take away from the "enjoyment of the era". The psychology of stanning, especially in online spaces like this, will never not intrigue, confuse, annoy, and delight me all at the same damn time lol. I love reading your posts but I think they're maybe going around in circles a bit at the moment, fuelled by Bey giving us nothing to work with. You make a lot of points. People on here clearly care about her success. Look at the last 3 weeks in the base and you will see the posts with the most reacts are the ones around TH'E success. For me, I have always enjoyed numbers and statistics, It is a big part of what I do for work so it consumes a lot of my life. For Bey, I want good numbers, not to be able to brag on ATRL and Twitter but because it buys me as a fan, certain privileges that increase my enjoyment. For one, I am loving hearing Texas on the radio. I love that I can discuss the song with my friends and family and that they're actually aware a Bey album is coming. I love attending a stadium tour with likeminded people, where everyone is dressed up, living their best lives. I cherish the fact she is still big enough for the said Tour, to get a theatre release, one I went to 4 times. Her Super Bowl performances, her Verizon ad etc. All of this will not be viable if she flops into oblivion. 4 1

The biggest US election of our lifetime (again...) is coming up. It's going to be a miserably bleak time inundated with nothing but politics. 4

Burn Posted March 9 Posted March 9 I'm sorry I know the visuals talk is tired but I just know what happens between pics 6 and 7 will be a moment. She's in the same car in both pics but in pic 6 she looks put together and pic 7 is giving anger/emotion. Something obviously pisses her off or makes her cry to look like that in pic 7. I did notice that this car is different to the car in the Texas teaser though as that one has a black steering wheel. So maybe the act i and act ii visuals aren't as connected as we think? 2

That’s the only way she’ll get ahead. Plus we can kiss TXHE going number one again goodbye if he does release on the same day

chaeyonce Posted March 9 Posted March 9 The lovey dovey/romantic lyrics in Bey songs rarely do anything for me but Love On Top is a classic and rightfully so. A vocal monsterclass that deserves all the love it gets 1
Burn Posted March 9 Posted March 9 I really need 'Love On Top (Higher Version) (Extended Version) (Beyoncé's Version) (From The Vault)' 3

Blue Rose Posted March 9 Posted March 9 Isn’t Kanye’s final Vultures album rumored to be released on March 29? His second act was supposed to drop this week (he already revealed the cover)
Lose My Breath Posted March 9 Posted March 9 I'm not totally tripping over not having a preorder, only because we know the album is coming on the 29th. And I'm certain she'll have physicals, her website points to it and she is a big physical seller, and she's about that physical money.
Burn Posted March 9 Posted March 9 Just now, Blue Rose said: Isn’t Kanye’s final Vultures album rumored to be released on March 29? GodSaveTheQueen Posted March 10 Posted March 10 Honestly THE set Act ii up VERY nicely. All Bey really has to do is lift a finger to drum up some excitement a week prior to release and she’ll be just fine. If the film is coming with the album, we’ll have nothing to worry about! I want to take the time to appreciate the genius vocal production on THE and 16C! The melodies, harmonies, the layering, etc>>> I hope we got a lot of fun, catchy, melodic ear worms! 6
Burn Posted March 10 Posted March 10 1 minute ago, Shelter said: What did vol 1 debut with? 148k Renaissance did 89k in its second week, so Act II would need to do much better to beat Kanye's first week. Then again just because Vultures 1 pulled 148k doesn't mean volumes 2 and 3 will.
