I think that the RENAISSANCE era is why she's doing so good now. RENAISSANCE made her relevant again, she had a huge tour, everyone could see that there's no stopping her, but most importantly - they knew that the music will be good. Whatever people say, RENAISSANCE was really well received, better than any of her albums. So, she has a good position right now, and it could grow even more with act ii. It's a good thing that she's releasing more music, and will release again. Everything will turn to her advantage, even TikTok + she should use one of the songs in CECRED commercial

TEXAS HOLD 'EM is such a positive song. I can't stop moving and smiling when I listen to it. I'm sure the GP will eat it. I only wish that they pushed 16 CARRIAGES more, because it could do good too. Not a #2 debut, but a nice top 15 one

I really think RENAISSANCE did something very special in pop which is create a cult experience out of a very mainstream product.

We do hate it, and we don't want it this way, but I do think the lack of visuals created a relationship between people and the music that went beyond just "music first" and actually made it feel more like this project was some underground, dug-up-in-a-crate, masterpiece of pop that just wasn't getting its deserved shine...which in turn made the feelings people had for it stronger and the culture around it more fervent and communal...which all led to her really activating her core fanbase, convinceing/reminding casual fans (young and old), and making her both ubiquitous and distant at the same time so NOW there's that interest PLUS people of the "I get she's great I just don't like her music" type who are getting to participate in her music as their own sort of special novelty.

And it's kind of brilliant because it's all part of her project's goal and so doesn't feel like pandering. It's not a "well that didn't work lemme try this", it's truly a built-up experience.

Her mind, really.

speaking of that, I hope she does different songs from those she did at RWT. i won't be travelling to America for her, but i'll be happy to see the videos. she has the material, so i hope she switches it up a bit

If you go to his instagram you’ll see he was actually on stage when Beyonce won her record breaking Grammy in 2023.

Ok Hive I’ve converted I like both songs. Hold Em took a few TikTok’s for me to get used to it but I was always a 16 Carriages stan and it gets better when you pay attention to the lyrics. I understand the double release. The geepee won’t relate to those lyrics or even understand what she’s talking about they just need something to bop to.

We had 4 last year. Last Night by Morgan Wallen (16 week #1 :deadbanana4:), Try That In A Small Town by Jason Aldean (MAGA racist anthem #1), Rich Men North of Richmond by Oliver Anthony (MAGA racist anthem #2), and most recently I Remember Everything by Zach Bryan & Kacey Musgraves.
