I suggest some of you stop internalizing what people say about her and just accept some will never get Beyonce. Some just don't connect and go out of their way not to.

I'm just grateful I do have appreciation for her and I'm not going to let their dour attitudes ruin my experience.

Exactly.

We are talking with twinks on her that think Bey is following anything that Gaga is doing, as if Gaga hasn't modelled her entire career after Madonna and being her cooky version and after realizing that didnt sell anymore, she shapeshifted into Barbra Streisand 2.0. So inauthentic, they wouldnt get Bey even if they tried lol

I seriously feel like Beyoncé is trying to make History and CONTROVERSY with this album. Have y’all not seen the obvious rise in racism and misogyny within the last year alone? Beyoncé knows her doing Country was and is going to start some sh*t. Hence also the reason why she literally just did a SUPERBOWL COMMERCIALLL for it lmao! I genuinely see Beyoncé doing something historic with this album and I’m kinda scared ngl, but I just knoowww she’s gonna eat DOWWNNN!!! :weeps:

i think she will have something on the album that can work as a single and be sent to pop/urban radio... renaissance was not just 100% house music it had its own fusion of genres, the same will happen here

16 CARRIAGES would be a radio SMASH if it came from like... Luke Combs or something.

Media literacy is at an all time low

Beyoncé singinf she is underpaid and overworked, she is clearly talking about her debut days

This obsession with relatability is why art is declining

:ace:

Some 30-something year-old "legendary" songwriter keeps writing from the POV of a middle schooler, no one bats an eye. Bey tells her own story, she's labeled "pretentious." miss me with that bs.

I simply think it’s her reclaiming genres that Black ppl created & have been removed from. plus she’s a Texas girl it’s in her roots.. if they fume they fume lol

Y’all heard BMS and thought renaissance was going to be a commercial success but think the opposite for act ii after hearing the two leads? When these two leads sounds MUCH more commercial than break my soul? It’s not making sense.

Everytime Beyoncé does something, a bunch of fan bases want to link their faves to it.

I think I might’ve said this recently, but even though Bey admires M it’s like… do you really think she needed to draw from that particular well when there’s a larger, deeper, and more personally meaningful one right there in her TEXAS roots for her :toofunny2:

When I saw she reposted Azealia Banks rant and shared a K. Michelle country song I knew she was a hater. :rip: Bey is not above criticism but being mad she's singing about a 9-5 is like being mad at Taylor Swift for singing about murdering her friend's boyfriend. Like they are SONGS not autobiographies.

I mean that "expert" labelled Texas as Pop/RnB. What else is there to waste energy on? Thats why Pitchfork is dying. Its so unprofessional. Like do u even listen?

So let me just say, both songs were absolutely instant for me, and her leads are NEVER instant for me.  I absolutely loved TEXAS, and can see it smashing hard in the US (IDK about WW).  It is fun, and carefree, and CATCHY catchy

16 Carriages is a beautiful song, and really stretches her legs a bit.

I'm just blown away.

Talking about Madonna? :lmao: Tina Turner done it before her and countless more of black women one being Linda Martell.. what they failed to realize every thing your yt favorite artists has done was laid down by Black Artists. Black musicians birthed this ****

the pitchfork writer having a meltdown on Twitter :dies:

maybe pitchfork would still be a trendsetter in the music world if they didn't entirely hire edgelords and pickme's for their staff.

I’m starting to believe that one theory (forgot where I saw it either here or Twitter) where the “visual” aspect of these acts will encompass all of the acts into one. The teaser for “act ii” reminds me of the RENAISSANCE trailer, as well as the “I’M THAT GIRL” teaser. With her walking around from room to room or however she goes about it, to tell the story of either her career or Black music, who knows. Also, the “ALIEN SUPERSTAR” aesthetic could also be interpolated into the desert backdrop for act ii, kind of reminiscent of an Area 51-type alien sequence. Idk! A bunch of thoughts!

I'm VERY curious as to how these tracks will perform on streaming.  So far, they're doing really well on Apple.  What was BMS first day run on Apple? I can't remember.  I feel like it went #1?
