This is what people mean when they talk about cupcake Hive. The issue is not the fact that Beyoncé wears wigs. Majority of western black women do and they still need hair care products for the hair under it. The issue is it is idiotic to launch a hair care business and then you, as the face of the brand, not be openly spotted with your natural hair commonly Literally marketing 101. And by the way, Bey does not wear wigs “some” of the time. She wears them literally 90% of the time. Absolutely nothing wrong with that, but it is common sense to stray away from that and put your healthy natural hair on full display when trying to convince consumers to buy hair care products from you. 3 4 2

Whatever honestly, if her brand fails its her fault at this point. She's been in the business for a very long time she knows how to market a venture and god forbid it fails but if it does hopefully she learns a lesson. It may be difficult for a stan to defend but we gain nothing from doing tht 1

The hair line isn't music aimed at her fans, it's a product aimed at the GP and it needs GP support and marketing.

TizTiz Posted February 7 Posted February 7 The journey will definitely began with another one minute real, probably only for her website and insta, and more than likely- a pre order link ( hopefully not just for 3 or 4 products). I'm excited to test the products, I've been natural all last year. I have thick, 4C hair, so it's always 'undone' to ppl who don't understand 4C hair. I intended on going back to my dreads, but instead, I'll let my hair grow for a few years and see what happens. It's very hard to find products to give my hair the curly look, but there are a few that go a long way. That said, I find it hard to believe this product will work for me. I know it'll be marketed towards the black community, mainly black women, but I hope the products are curated for all hair types for black ppl. Now that marketing- let's not kid ourselves like she's going to magically learn from the perfume or the films performance. She is not going to put her all into pushing this product. She probably doesn't have any distribution or store lined up, because I would've pitched my product to Target and worked with them to promote the product. As much as ppl don't believe it, it does make a point that Beyoncé, whose spent the entirety of her career doing protective styling, would use her what-6 appearances in 3 months with her natural hair demonstrating her use of her products. She could've posted pictures using the products, seeing the process making the product or anything pertaining to the lead to the release of the product. This isn't a musical effort, that lil reel is nothing but her repeating the tired axx cycle. This probably won't see the Fenty brand success if she continues this way with that team. This should be a booming success for her, given her background. 1
blackoutbritney Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Will this be our rem beauty, fenty beauty, haus labs? Where we lose her to corporate greed

Did I make that up? 2

Cbreezy Posted February 7 Posted February 7 2 hours ago, Lose My Breath said: So commercial for superbowl? I thought this too. My hope was that a Super Bowl commercial would be visuals related, but "standing on business" would be using the enormity of that slot for a venture like this.
Cbreezy Posted February 7 Posted February 7 (edited) I'm torn about the timing of Cecred As someone who loves Beyonce the "artist" first and foremost, it's hard not to feel shortchanged if she REALLY is sticking a pin in the Rennie era and is about to get her Avon lady on (instead of Act 2, 3 etc). HOWEVER.... There's no point in us getting too mad about it. All these girls know that it's vital to establish a brand outside of music. Bey unquestionably makes most of her money via touring, but that is gruellling and I think these girls rightfully want to work smarter not harder. They want to make passive income that makes them coin in their sleep and have established brands that aren't contingent on their popularity and fill a market void. Rihanna is the best example. She could flop forever more musically and yet Fenty Beauty will continue to be etched in culture as a THING. My girlfriends literally swear by it in the way people do for MAC, L'Oreal, etc. Like, it's a thing to the point one can almost forget that it's named after her. I'd bet that's what Bey wants for this. THAT SAID... I need the marketing and rollout to be on point. She's going very above board with this, so she may as well go big. The commercial almost exclusively features Black and Brown people, so it's clear who her target demo is. Smart. Go get 'em! Cover Essence as rumored, have a big presence at the Essence festival. Go all out with the sampling there. Have a something at BET Awards, smart celeb gifting, and influencers, and USE SOCIAL MEDIA. If any of y'all care-care, I'd say her main rival in this lane is Tracee Ellis Ross' Pattern Beauty. So, come Feb 20, if she's any kind of serious, the Cecred site better be giving this patternbeauty.com and be instantly or eventually available in all the big retailers: Walmart, Target, Sally Beauty etc. Imma stop there cus Bey pays ppl to do this ish lol (I'm available to be hired lol), but put simply, it's a relatively easy path to relative success IMO. Tangane Posted February 7 Posted February 7 12 hours ago, Chris said: @Tangane The rate? Oh @Chris I did good never promising anything... Imma just take a page out of Beyonce's book and just never do it No really, the thing is: it's a loooot of work for very little reward. I loved doing the first rate because it was manageable despite the numbers of look, but to do the same thing for +150 outfits would be crazy behavior, and I have a house move planned in the coming weeks, on top of my job... Really the only down time I have is devoted to Zelda TOTK (and lurking on this thread).
