So the director and star of the biggest film in the world right now and a huge music star? What an appalling turnout. :toofunny3:

Wasnt he the user who was getting sassy a few days ago and already called it could lead to him getting banned for a bit?

To be fair, there’s nothing left to post, nothing to look forward to besides a perfume and a haircare line. Both of those things I can get from any youtube influencer. We bought the album, the tshirts and the tickets. It’s over.

Did you not see the post he made to defend Travis. He compared chastising artists for working with Travis to chastising artists for working with Ariana post-Manchester. :rip: Probably got a ban.

Some of the comments in here are truly demented. A bunch of part-time OBHs.

I feel for you guys who are clearly stressed/upset by all this. I promise it's so much more enjoyable to just let it go and be excited when/if it actually arrives. I get such enjoyment from listening to the album (literally doing it right now) and scrolling through tour updates, without any stress that "OMG she hasn't released the visualsss!!!11". I get it, but surely it's exhausting at this point and just ruining your joy!

You're right, but it's falling on deaf ears. No one who knows anything about Beyoncé thought she was releasing something on the anniversary. She doesn't do that. Setting yourself up to be disappointed for what? I can only assume that it's an addiction to feeling miserable and/or getting worked up. Welp...it's not my blood pressure on the line :cm:

y'all made a fuss about it but this version sounds great?

The first interlude definitely did not hit as hard with Echoes as its soundtrack. The second interlude with the house classics was better but understandably seemed out of sync with the onscreen visuals.

Nothing more insufferable than the Glinda the good hive coming in pretending this era isn’t a dumpster fire and long time fans shouldn’t be disappointed and express their thoughts with other Beyoncé fans :giraffe:

This isn’t us falling for a fan theory and getting disappointed, it’s a year culmination of… nothing. We didn’t get these expectations out of nowhere, she advertised visuals with a trailer and tour interlude, her team hyped up a campaign like no other, she accepted an award in February saying “the renaissance begins” and… nothing happened.

I think people were complaining about it as if she removed it entirely and replaced it with Echoes. y'all still got "loop the sample" and all of the spoken word portion! it's just that instead of the empty "be free" part she used "Echoes." I think it fits pretty well :michael: I don't mind that switch up from techno to house.

It wasn’t bad by any means. But the tracking shot down the tunnel is such a chokehold with the original soundtrack. It didn’t feel the same imo.

The fact that the only celeb to attend yesterday night’s NYC show was Greta Gerwig… I just know the industry’s adoration of Beyoncé has plummeted since 2016.

Oh honey, you just wait for the LA shows. Most reputable celebs live in LA. Also american celebs flew all the way to europe to watch her. Zendaya, leo dicaprio, alfonso cuaron (4 time oscar winner), paul mccartney etc. lets be serious. None of beyonce peers will ever have the same reverence she has, not even taylor. Bey is in her own league

In other news, anyone picking up their $700 Renaissance Tiffany necklace to celebrate this joyous era?

Such a missed opportunity! They could’ve created a horse, bey’s iconic silhouette, tiny cuffs, a fan, a disco ball, basically anything would’ve been better that a dumb chain saying Welcome To The Renaissance. This had zero creative thoughts behind it.

I screamed. I completely get it and agrih but don’t you waste any more keystrokes on them tbh. They’ll never come for one follicle on her head over this non-era or the lack of bare minimum fanservice any girl with an instagram and $1.49 could provide.

The time for dropping hints and clues and Easter eggs was during the album rollout. But still dropping hints one year after the start of this abortive era, hints which serve only to confuse and confound, and with no end in sight, is DUMB. A year of crumbs and trollery? With shampoo and perfume launches sprinkled throughout? Why alienate the only people left who are interested asdfgh

Sounds like a great way to represent this era! :bird:

Beyoncé has such a complicated career. She started r&b turned pop turned soul turned experimental and rap. She went from not cursing in her songs (somewhat family friendly) until a decade into her solo career she started throwing around the N word and saying **** in the chorus. Over time her target audience has become more and more niche. From all women, to black women, to gay black men. She has alienated so many people over the span of the last decade of her career. You would think he career would be a sharp decline because of this. But the music still holds up, the interest is still somewhat there, but the next generation of stans (gen z and alpha) care more about relatability or being edgy/cool. It kinda threw me off how the internet suddenly started treating Rihanna like Beyoncé was being treated in 2014. Young people want someone emulate. The younger generation prefers aesthetic over anything else. Beyoncé’s aesthetic has been all over the place and it doesn’t help she’s aged out and is an inaccessible married woman. The only fan base that can hold her afloat are the people that grew up with her and we are starting to look elsewhere for entertainment since she seems to be over it. Life is too short to be waiting around stalking fan accounts to get a clue on what’s going on with her music career. We are getting too old for this.
