Please keep in mind that this is the same lady who made “formation tour dvd” shirts to sell. Which we took for it being a thing that’s happening, only for us to find out the formation tour is in our head

I get it. But SHE (not verbally nor by press release) ever told us a FWT DVD was coming. IIRC that was stan-demanded because they loved the tour so much and speculation was rife that it was being professionally recorded and it snowballed from there.

This is different; her own team issued a press release confirming the visuals (albeit vaguely). She's also teasing it (on her own accord) on the tour. It's....different.

Granted this has been a forced and unnecessary exercise in patience (while they navigated what went wrong behind the scenes), Bey has never announced something that didn't come. I think she's too much of a perfectionist/premium/prideful to go down that route so many flops do. Hasn't happened before and I don't see it starting now. I'd sooner see her scrap whatever she had (if she didn't like it) and quietly start from scratch. But she promised it, so essentially - because of her own established rules for self - will commit to it.

I know she gets a kick out of this. She thinks she's some kind of radical and the coolest person ever. Act ii will be video's with no audio. We will be the songs. For act iii we will give her the tour as she sits in the audience. Its time to accept this hag will always do some annoying intellectual exercise instead of just serving us some songs and videos.

And I know Yvette feeds into her delusions. At 60 she's still gonna go 'Are they waiting for the visuals?' and Yvette will go 'Yes B they are all desperate for it on social media, now its time for your afternoon nap'. She's gonna mumble in her sleep 'Everybody's waiting for me. I am the modern day Prince. I am elusive.'

When she is ready, she will reveal it. I have no doubt there is a documentary about this whole era coming after this tour. She will probably explain everything including how she hurt her foot which probably made everything harder when she was filming the videos. Eventually she came to understand that how the fans received the album and how they used their own art to express that love was more powerful than what she was doing and she felt more inspired by that and will use that later on to honor the era. I mean sure she could tell us everything now and end the suspense but real fans will wait for her. Those who are only interested in promotion and grand gestures can go right back to the hot pop star of the moment and leave things alone because none of that will change. Beyoncé has let it known a long time now that she is not controlled by anyone and anything. Do what you gotta do if you dont like it. As a fan it will take more than that to make me turn on my favorite artist.

lol girl :rip:

we haven’t gotten a real documentary in a decade. she don’t like us or care. shows are sold out, the bag is secured.

Her sabotaging her releases and limiting exposure when she has every tool at her disposal (loyal fanbase, large social media following and a huge brand/empire) will always be frustrating for me. For the fans craving engagement this era has been very disappointing. She is releasing everything but what we want at the moment to make a quick buck but even then, she doesn't do it right. Surely she can see that successful music and accessible performances is what will drive business and money in her pocket with her side ventures?

On the flip side, Renaissance is still my favourite album by her. The replay value is immense. The experiences I had, with likeminded individuals at the tour will be cherished memories forever. To see everyone dressed up, enjoying the moment in what felt like such a safe and carefree space was very liberating and I'd assume was her intent with this release. Club Renaissance is also the perfect setup for a tour experience. There is space to walk around, admire other peoples outfits, grab a drink and just generally have a great time. Guarding your spot and fighting with sweaty teens is the worst thing about going to a concert for me these days.

Finally, as a fan, my mindset changed completely after seeing Beychella live. The thing that pushed me from massive fan to life long stan was watching Glastonbury on Youtube. I swore to myself I'd experience a spectacle as grand as that from her and Beychella left me completely satisfied as a fan. Since then, I've been a lot calmer about what I expect and want from her and have come to terms with her being a money hungry, self sabotaging looney, intent on driving her legendary career into the pits of Echoville.

I’m starting to think she did not like what she was seeing on video. Mangled foot, palliative state, more fupa than expected. Lord knows she asked for the video facetune, a Super Freaky Girl special however long that’s taking. She said it was time for 2 apples. I was SHOCKED opening night at how snatched she was during I’m That Girl, I’ll tell you that. That suit in the beginning really had me fooled. I bet you she wanted to scrap the entire thing and do it all over again with that bawdy.

So you think she scrapped the visuals cause she looked too chunky in them :skull:

I just think in her mind she has a big masterplan involving the visuals and the two other acts and the tour(s?) and 7 years from now we'll see all the times she teased it all and we had no clue, and we'll say "there 100% was a better way to do all that but oh well it's Beyoncé"

Well maybe she scrapped the visuals but she has to communicate that with her fans.

Pop music/culture has been in the gutter and for her not to shake it up to the fullest extent over the last year is so lame. I won’t go as far as saying I feel let down or jipped because she did deliver quality music, but ima just say it and say she probably shot the visuals before she started Ozempics and felt some type of way after how good she looked after the fact and wanted to do a redo.

i don’t really believe in the whole "she has a master plan" thing anymore… granny can’t even sell joggings anymore without it becoming an abysmal flop :deadbanana4:

I believe if the visuals were scrapped she wouldn't have kept the "queen moves at her own pace" moment. And most of her recent looks on tour have been referencing the visuals so I do think we're close, like the recent red Formation look was very close to the AHAP visuals look. Same for the black and white opening look from yesterday, it definitely felt intentional after she included that Mind Control thing on the Echoes cover art

People saying that Fans who are complaining because they seek chart success are WRONG. 4 era is still to this day very valued in hindsight despite the obvious dump in success after IASF BECAUSE she gave it her all and served drive and persistence. We love the music just as we love the incredible performances we got and still can watch every single day. Because we can still look at the DVD, the SB, etc.. its never "just" the music when it comes to Beyonce and us being Fans of her. Its the package.

Her giving us one of her best materials ever dedicated to us gays and then doing 0 with it will always be disappointing. Not commercially, but as fans

SCREAMING!  :coffee:

I have so many layered thoughts on the delay...some of which you kinda just mentioned (the girls ain't ready for that convo en masse). What's both intriguing and annoying is the fact that we'll likely never know-know the real issue. Whether in coming interviews or a doc, they'll spin it and make it seem like the grand plan.

Anything she "admits" will be carefully stage-managed.

If it's not liking how she looked, it'll be "something...wasn't right. I have to feel it first...even if we have to spend millions reshooting, I don't mind for the art"

If it's the injury, it'll be spun in a way and at a time that doesn't affect the perception of the visuals and/or tour. So, rather than say anything that impacts her insurability or questions about her present-day capabilities, it will be spun as a heroic comeback story of bouncing back to peak condition against the odds.

Let's just hope it's all coming soon because it's like the era is stuck in this everlasting limbo. IMO, the visuals slaying, us gagging, her spinning mess behind the scenes into gold frontstage is all fairly inevitable. But can we just get things moving so we can collectively (us, her, everyone) move on to the next thing/chapter.

Meh, I'm on the ledge with her. I wasn't expecting anything so I'm not dissapointed and my opinion on the state of her career remains the same.

Beyoncé is a legend. She's cemented her status and has nothing to prove any more. There's a method to her madness and her career speaks for itself. She'll always have her fans and even the casual admirers will be there to snatch tickets up to fill those venues when she goes on tour. The money will continue to roll in as well.

Where this really hurts her is her catalogue. Beyoncé's inability to properly execute an era has negatively impacted her catalogue. Lemonade is one of the most acclaimed records of all time, but it's recurrent streams and poor longevity on the charts speaks volumes. RENAISSANCE was the perfect opportunity to turn that around, but once again, her refusal to give proper attention to the album and its singles will grant the record the same fate as Lemonade in the long run. It's longevity is all thanks to her fambase who pushed on social media to make it a hit.

It's why I've always said Taylor Swift took the Beyoncé print and perfected it. It's why those catalogue streams are still healthy and why those old albums chart as long as they do. Even Rihanna is currently pulling in more streams, and that's thanks to those HITS.

It's funny that Beyoncé purposely shifted her career to focus on albums for the sake of her catalogue lasting longer, but her albums have since been neglected and the long run failed to gain that status.

Again, I'm not surprised, and her career is still in a good place, but I'm about 90% sure that RENAISSANCE, despite its potential will age like Lemondade. Acclaimed and revered, but I don't see it charting for years and I don't see Beyoncé's catalogue streams improving or doing much going forward.

She needs a revamp.

She needs an attitude adjustment.  She's the problem.  But what event would shock her enough to make her rethink her strategies? That's the million dollar question.

She's made being elusive a large part of her public persona, so she can get away with not communicating with the fans at all because it's her style. I would appreciate if she did communicate with us like most other artists do, just to let us know her plan after teasing the visuals, it's the least she could do tbh. I've never really seeked the visuals too much because I think the music and tour are super strong, but the constant teasing isn't fair.
