I've been SO READY to throw my money at the most expensive tickets for a tour - but at this point it definitely won't happen in the first half of the year, right?

The most I’ll pay for tickets is 350. I wonder how close that’ll get me

I think it really depends on how many dates she announces.  If it is just single dates in each city, then I don't have much hope.

I’m ready to drop a K for Renaissance world tour

Stadium tours tend to be less expensive than arena ones. Plus you can wait a bit til prices drop but thats a gamble.

Crazy how tour tickets have changed over the years. I saw her front row at MCSWT 2013 for like $115 for general admission floor tickets. Front row for Renaissance will probably be $400+.

I’ve never gotten pit tickets before but might just splurge for the Renaissance tour and get the VIO pit tickets no matter how expensive they end up being because it’s her best album and also realistically who knows how frequently we’ll get tours from her moving forward.

Same! MCSWT was my first concert and first time seeing her live. I paid 130 for GA front row in Jersey. I just got there super early at like 2pm. Crazy but by 2014 OTR tickets were like 200 for section 100 tickets which in a stadium is really far from the stage.

I think the issue is most stadiums do seated floor seats instead of GA so those tend to be a lot more expensive. That’s what’s she’s done since OTR tour. **** if they have klarna I might do 500-600 :bibliahh:

Yeah, probably like twice that. Wasn’t Scissors selling her nose bleeds for $350?

She prob have a section or pit that’s like $1000+ tix and the remaining GA be like $300-800.

I keep shaming her for being a capitalist witch, but I will do everything in my power including selling my kidneys to ensure I get good tickets to see her:gaycat6:

I have yet to see her live and this tour might be the last chance before she decides to flee to Antarctica:gaycat6:

Honestly, the Renaissance tour might be the last chance we get to see her in her prime. Her next tour might only be in another 5-10 years, by which point she’ll be 46-50 years old. Don’t get me wrong, 46 isn’t old but just like athletes, the body slows down and isn’t able to do what it used to.

She’s not going to be able to do as much intense choreography as we’re used to due to declining stamina and her vocals will inevitably decline.

So yeah, getting tickets is an imperative for me.

I expect a decline in intense choreo with this tour. :skull:

Outside some songs I see her using props and more walking around (fan interacting).

This crosses my mind a lot. Though I don’t see her vocals declining or worsening. Her voice ages like fine wine. She should just ditch the uptempo bops and venture into a more intimate, jazzy realm once she pushes 50. Focusing more on the vocals is what her core base (who is also getting old) would want by then anyway.

Are you on about Lemonade? A 6 year exclusive, nah :skull: hive should @ Netflix to get it. They just have to buy the rights for a certain amount of time.

I mean…look at how long the album was trapped there…I’m not putting it past her :rip:

It must have a streaming exclusivity deal with tidal still. Otherwise it’d be on YouTube by now like self-titled.

mmhh idk. I feel like the film is as much an HBO IP as it is Beyoncé’s. It earned HBO a further 4 Emmy nominations and won it a Peabody.

I’m not sure why a lot of you are concerned with Beyoncé’s current performance abilities. I don’t know why you think there’s been some sort of change?

The “Be Alive” performance at the Oscars less than 12 months ago is like the most effortless thing Beyoncé has ever done and it was flawless. The fact that she does choreography for songs that don’t need it (Be Alive performance, Spirit MV, Love Drought at Grammys) means she’s still very much a capable dancer and wants to keep dancing always.

Yes it’s an HBO production in association with Parkwood Entertainment (how it was submitted at the Emmys).

but HBO didn’t keep it up on their app past the premiere week, and it’s been trapped on tidal since then. This is why I think there’s some sort of exclusivity in perpetuity deal going on there. When tidal launched they wanted it to be a visual platform too.

Unfortunately I don’t think it’s as easy as HBO uploading it though because they’re currently scrubbing the library with their new Discovery merger (they just deleted Westworld).

There is no meaningful dancing in the the Be Alive Performance from her side lol. Choreo yes, but I wouldnt take it as any evidence regarding her still being in her peak.

I think she'll remain a great performer of course, but she hasn't delivered an uptempo in 4 years which is part of where the concern comes from. And touring =/= one off, pre-recorded performance. It's the biggest break she's had and she's visibly struggled to keep weight off last year, so I understand some of the uncertainty. I think the best performance styling from her is something more grounded anyway and I'm happy for her to

focus more on musical delivery of songs & interesting staging versus choreo and mash ups.

@Otterhit the nail on its head.

Beyonce is essentially an athlete on stage. With all athletes, wear and tear is a real thing, as are peak periods and rust when inactive for long stretches.

She's still young enough and perceivably able enough to currently deliver to the "Beyonce" standard we expect, but I don't think it's surprising that there are questions around whether there will be noticeable differences.

Because IMO she's been scaling back (a lot) over the last 10 years right before our eyes. FWT was amazing but objectively not as choreo-heavy as MCWT, IAWT, or TBE tours (to me). Homecoming was more the Bey we're used to, but those were spot dates. The tour that immediately followed (OTRII), a lot of us noticed that it wasn't the all-out Bey we're used to. Even in BIK, the all-out choreo was few and far between (My Power and Already, with the latter being heavy on effects).

This is all a huge reason why I'm ready for her to come back. Whatever the "new" Bey is, I'm just ready for her to cement it as her present-day standard and it become normalized for us.

She pretty skilfully punches in with "enough" to razzle and dazzle, which I trust she'll continue to do. So, a mixture of light choreo and looks on looks to fill the space of what once was all-out performance mode. Think the Water and Mood 4 Eva videos. Come to think of it, I really believe BIK has shown us what to expect from Bey the performer moving forward.

The great part of stanning a multi-talented star like Bey is that even when she scales back on the dancing, she can easily dive more into her vocal bag for future epic moments.

Her performance abilities will decrease.

Its normal, it comes with age and other factors. RWT will still be an amazing show but she is gonna make some changes that aren’t too noticeable.

This reminds me how she said that singing is actually what she loves to do on stage...just standing there and singing, and I am here for anything Bey decides to give us on stage because we know she is a perfectionist and whatever she does, will have the Beyoncé touch.

I have long been thinking of Beyoncé in her older age, perching on a stool on the stage, singing Single Ladies bouncily. No matter where she's at with performing I know she can turn out a song.

Think the Stevie Wonder tribute which imo is one of her BEST performances and is hardly any choreography aside from some arm movements and turns in circles and general vibing.

I honestly am not worried about her performance abilities declining with this tour. The closest comparison we have is Tina Turner and she was going ham well into her 50’s. It’s up to Bey with how she takes care of herself and conditions and maintains, but I see no reason to worry about it.

They said after Blue she was gonna be stiff and on the decline and everything has been better since.
