Exactly. It's going to be a multi genre album.

Renaissance was still rooted in the dance genre tho

So whatever is next will obviously be rooted in something new for her rock/country in this case

Baseless rumors that were started because she wore a cowboy hat.

Cowboy is country though.

It was rumored to be country and acoustic. And people wished there was also a bit rock, it spread from there, I think.

All of the act 2 rumours sound like the same album. Country, Rock, Accoustic. Beyonce is never going to have 12 songs of exactly the same genre on an album. Ren is House/Electronic/Disco/Pop/RnB/HipHop

Thanks

act ii is most definitely gonna be a multi genre album and I'm still hopeful its named Rodeo

She's still gonna be credited on Billboard because of the single version and the numbers for both versions will be combined?

Rock rumors came because - Act iii was being called rock:

- many presumed three acts meant three albums and act ii was rumored heavily to have country influences. (while we were only teased B7, B8 by bey - and even tidal tweeted it out). Plus they said abundance of music.

- so people said Beyoncé is doing this to "reclaim" black genres - house, country and then rock.

We actually have very little to legitimize the "rock" stuff.

I think “Echoes” is serving double duty as an album track on UTOPIA, while also serving as the official “soundtrack/original song” to her film, ECHOVILLE.

We’ve been doing this for a long time, and for Beyoncé to post a feature with its own artwork depicting the imaginary newspaper from the imaginary town she created in her visuals 1 day before the year anniversary of her album?  After recently trademarking 8 registrations for ECHOVILLE?

It all just feels too on the nose.  I’m imagining she talked to Travis and let him know what she had planned July 29, as to not step on his toes.  This way, “Echoes” is now attached to the current #1 album, while also being the title track of her film.

I could be wrong, but this time, I don’t think so.  The trailer or full film is definitely coming tomorrow.  It’s going down at MetLife. :wanda:

It will be combined on Spotify, but not on Billboard unless a chunk of the units come from Single version with her credit, which is already not happening lol :rip:

Echoville is definitely a thing. No way all those references & a trademark filing are just there to tie into a Travis song and no way she's being listed as a lead if its not related to her own musical universe.

I'm not normally theory hive but the Echoville thing is no longer a theory. It ties into whatever is next, whether that be a film or act 2

Tomorrow is definitely the day where something is most likely to go down but we also might have gotten this song as the 1 year anniversary gift

Honestly I gave up on being delusional about tomorrow's show but that Echoes cover art alone is enough to make me excited again :jonny5: the Echoville film + Act II announcement at the end is upon us

The cover is featured in the tour. She is reading that newspaper and the headline says "AMERICA HAS A PROBLEM" there are also tons of other renaissance easter eggs on the cover like an article for a "Glitter Kitty Contest" and a "Unique or UFO?" headline.

she is credited on the single version. in fact, she is the lead artist. and the copyright says Parkwood before Cactus Jack (travis' imprint). She only isn't credited on his album, but none of the features are. so she had this released separately from the rest of the album for a reason.

Noticed this too.

What's most confusing is that it's the album version being pushed on playlists.

Maybe she really is going with this as some kind of dual single that benefits both projects :-S

I could see how Sony (to whom both Bey and Travis are signed) would be incentivized to push this.

But the guy has his own film right? Was it already released?

I think she's at the very least incorporating the new song into the show tomorrow... NYC Hive won :jonny:

I think it’s really coming.  The trailer at the very least.  I also think Tina’s divorce announcement was timed perfectly.  A day later she has a new record out rolling into the visual trailer or film.

I don't know how true this is. it'll be interesting to see how Billboard handles the credit. what you'd described works for remixes, but the two versions with different billings are the same exact song this time. so she might get the credit either way. we'll see.

If Echoville is indeed another album AND a film then it would make a lot of sense for the film to be of the two albums together and it would explain the delay since she decided to merge the visuals for B7 and B8
