judasmonster Posted January 9, 2024 Posted January 9, 2024 she's definitely getting 100M+ monthly listeners on Spotify after the lead drops
Dr. Alexander Posted January 9, 2024 Posted January 9, 2024 People aren’t going to realize how good it looks until it’s on a physical album, when the picture is enlarged. It’s going to look stunning on a vinyl. The cover is timeless. 1 5

I’m surprised he’s apparently not on the album at all, even on Sweetener he worked on like 3 tracks Nothing. People forget that Savan Kotecha took a sabbatical during the recording of Positions to focus on his mental health and him and his wife basically moved back to Sweden. Then by the time 2021 came around, she started writing with Savan for his movie (essentially on her own sabbatical from music - wouldn't be shocked if he inspired her). I wouldn't be shocked if part of her negotiating an entire Max-free album was basically saying she'd make one completely with him once Savan was back to music. And of course Tommy isn't going to leak his own stuff. It's obvious he's a younger producer and thus seemingly wasn't prepared for the kind of security needs older, more veteran producers have in place, basically resulting in all of his accounts getting hacked and entire years worth of recording sessions with Ariana (including a 3 hour podcast Ariana apparently recorded for the Positions rollout talking about Mac, her marriage, etc. that she ended up shelving) got stolen by hackers.

judasmonster Posted January 10, 2024 Posted January 10, 2024 this source mentions "the song, Grande's lead off to an imminent 7th studio album" does this mean the album is gonna come soon after the song?
Magdalene Posted January 10, 2024 Posted January 10, 2024 need a surprise madonna and beyonce remix to accompany the grammy performance

I mean it was kinda obvious, I don’t see her waiting more than two months, and even that is a long time tbh id say we get a pre-order in the next two weeks and the album drops like three weeks after that 1
shookgrande Posted January 10, 2024 Posted January 10, 2024 i'm fine with waiting a little longer for the album if it means a more traditional rollout with room for the singles to properly smash and build hype and promo and performances lemme manifest single 1 january ✓, single 2 march/april, single 3 with the album drop in may/june. and the album arrives for a summer of eternal sunshine on friday june 7 1

wantedyoutogrow Posted January 10, 2024 Posted January 10, 2024 I don’t want the album to come before march, i’m sorry you guys but I want a roll out of some sort 2
Tm4074 Posted January 10, 2024 Posted January 10, 2024 I wish she would do a longer rollout too but I think the era of long album rollouts are becoming less of a thing for big, highly anticipated artists as it tends to kill album hype. Hopefully she doesn't abandon the album upon release. She never gives her singles/albums room to breathe and resonate longterm. It's kinda annoying as a fan. TUN and Positions had a bunch of missed opportunities to push more singles with a longer album campaign post-release, it doesn't even require much effort on her part either. Idk what Scooter was (or better yet wasn't doing) but he lost his touch big time. I'm not the biggest fan of the lead being inspired by Vogue but I'll reserve my judgement until I hear it. She better make me eat my words lol. Excited she is finally receiving main production credits on her work now, idk why she never pushed for this before because she's been involved in producing since the beginning. She was a big part in reworking the production on Honeymoon Avenue by suggesting the strings sections and she was also involved in the production of The Way. I'm going to blame Scooter because it's real interesting these issues fans have been having for awhile are conveniently being addressed after she secured new management. I'm cautiously optimistic about this era, she's already doing way more than she did for Positions which is a good sign.
Stuart Posted January 10, 2024 Posted January 10, 2024 Lil Nas X is also making his comeback on Friday... I hope we won't get another L*ke C*mbs situation
judasmonster Posted January 10, 2024 Posted January 10, 2024 Christian Breslauer reposted her album cover on their story…i think he’s directing the music video

It’s quite hilarious how people rewrite history. Scooter was the best thing that could have happened to her career. This was the same man who had a humongous calendar hanging from the ceiling in his office with the entire promotional campaign for My Everything mapped out. He was the one who pushed her to work as hard as she did during that era. This was the same man who pushed her to work with different art directors and producing team for Sweetener - which got her the GRAMMY. This was the same man that pulled strings at the drop of the dime to secure Stuck With U’s chart position. Scooter was incredible. Ariana was the one who dropped the ball on promotion and refused to prolong eras after the album dropped. Did we forget that she said out of her own mouth that she gets bored with an album after it is released? Did we forget that she said that “I am going to do whatever I want” after thank u, next became a hit? Did we forget that she talked negatively about the promotion campaign for My Everything because it was “too much”? Scooter wasn’t the problem. Ariana wanted to release music and stay at home… 5 1
Dr. Alexander Posted January 10, 2024 Posted January 10, 2024 Ya’ll be letting that other little girl who didn’t read her contract delude your minds about Scooter. Because let’s rewind back to 2016 when Ariana fired Scooter and the DW era was a hot mess. But as soon as she got him back that’s when Side to Side became a hit 1 1

Ariana wanted to release music and stay at home… I never said he wasn't instrumental to her career and success. I said he lost his touch meaning his efforts have noticeably declined in recent album campaigns which lines up with him prioritizing his new ventures including being CEO of HYBE America. Ariana doesn't need to leave her house for Scooter to put pov on playlists or add boyfriend and MONOPOLY on TUN as a deluxe edition since they didn't release any post-album singles from the album in favor of releasing those singles instead. As I said there were obvious missed opportunities to extend those album campaigns with minimal effort required from Ariana herself. Scooter was on the record saying he was MIA for Positions release, there is no revisionist history happening lol. I do agree that Ariana is standing in her own way a lot of the time but it doesn't negate the fact that Scooter was her manager and should do his job as manager by promoting her music since she was paying him a decent percentage of her revenue to do so. She doesn't need to be performing on TV or doing mainstream interviews to adequately promote her music in the streaming era.

Do you expect a manager to prolong an album campaign or push a single when the client wants to completely move on from it? Ariana wasn’t working for Scooter. Scooter was working for her. Whatever she wanted, she got…
mxoonlight Posted January 10, 2024 Posted January 10, 2024 You’re not getting promo and you’re not getting a third single. The treat is the album and the Zach interview. We have been through this before, IDK why we need to do Scooter related mental gymnastics to not be used to Ariana’s cadence by now. 1 2
Gerardo Posted January 10, 2024 Posted January 10, 2024 Both things can be true at once, Scooter managed her career wonderfully for the first 6-7 years, but in the last three years he didn’t much at all, ofc is Ariana’s fault for not giving him much to work with but he still didn’t do much for her post TUN
