It's honestly frustrating that we know A has all these beautiful songs, album tracks, but they need to go "viral" before the general public listens to them. But ofc I'm happy for every viral moment, and grateful for all the fan pages on Tiktok that keep posting edits.

 

Like, Sweetest Devotion is getting 20k streams a day... Is it one of her best songs? No, but it deserves a lot more. Every song deserves more.

 

Other than waiting for the next album, I'm excited for people to (re)discover her old music again, too. And for Gen Z to get into her more.

It was a mistake to release the ad before the album. I don't think many people figured that was Adele singing it. Not to mention airing the Oprah interview before release date, like what? So many wrong moves. And then the Vegas mess happened, and they gave up promoting the album... except for the IDW video, but the song was never even sent to US radio, so... that's it. Sigh.

 

But anyway, the album is beautiful, and I am endlessly curious to see and hear what she does next.

Lol, you know, with both Send My Love and Can I Get It, I keep going back and forth about whether I like them or not. Maybe I just want to like them, because it's nice to have few uptempo songs in between all the ballads, but they are kinda generic, like, other people could sing them.

 

I don't think Adele's truly nailed an uptemo track since RITD. I hope A5's lead single could be at least somewhat uptempo. She has nothing to lose at this point, she's set for life, so might as well take some risks with the next record. And you can see how much she likes to perform RITD live, with the audience, so why not try and write more anthems like that?

Rumour Has It might be the only truly uptempo song she's ever done, Wikipedia says 126 bpm. RITD is 105 bpm, apparently. But it's a high energy song regardless. It's fun to hear them back to back tbh. 

 

But yeah, at this point, I'd rather get a new album faster, than to go back and watch a documentary about Vegas. I know, in normal times she'd take many years to give us another album, but nothing about the past 4 years has been normal. So, go ahead and surprise us, Adele! 

UK still stans, no matter what. Once we get over the Christmas season, and many new music releases, these positions should be higher in January.

The way those 10 shows at Munich had more impact in her streams than the 100 at Vegas.

RITD, Send My Love and Don't You Remember all gained streams yesterday compared to Friday! Usually the streams drop hard for the weekend for all artists, so we love to see this. Skyfall and LITD serving 0% drop is great, too. It's all the Tiktok users, Gen Z listening to Adele now, finally. Lol.

Yeah, @Aslan. Adele needs to get over that "Tika-toka who?" attitude. If it wasn't for all the fan accounts, and just people in general, posting about her there, she'd be getting a lot less streams. Establishing Adele Access for this era was a good decision, but I hope she gets in there herself for the next album. If she did a live stream on TT, it'd go so viral, maybe even more than the iconic Instagram live. 

And now what?  years without hearing from her, will we even get a Vegas or Munich film?
