Adele doesn't have a huge fanbase and relies on the GP. Obviously she's a behemoth and will be just fine in the sales department regardless, but let's not act like 30's first week wasn't a 75% decrease from 25. She'd probably benefit from generating some hype, which there isn't any right now because she straight up told us not to expect anything. 

If nothing comes out in the next week or two, then I will stop pushing the idea of a new album.

 

But until then, it would be perfect with the anniversaries of the previous albums lining up the days before the upcoming Friday, and next weekend also being one year since she finished the shows at Vegas.

 

I truly believe she just wanted to take a year off from everything. And people in real life don't care about first week sales. I want another 21 type era, not 25. If it's a good album, the word will go around. But if they want Christmas sales, now would be the time to release. Next year she's doing the film with Tom Ford.

 

And if not whole album, at least the lead single would be nice to have. Rolling in the Deep was released on November 29, 2010 actually, but I don't know how that would work now considering how big Christmas music has become.

 

Looking at how 21 and 25 are streaming now, 30 must have been just a glitch in her chart performance. I want to see what A5 could do. And she hasn't divorced since last time, so that should help make the music a bit more hopeful.

 

And nobody was expecting the upcoming movie role either. But Adele and her official fan page not posting about it just adds to the idea that she has other plans going on as well.

 

So... let's see. I've been trying to ask the insiders here about it, but nobody's saying anything.

This is why I want the new album so much. She sounded so good last year. And you can imagine even better now, having been able to take a little break. Just perfect tone of voice.

What if it means Adele is really coming to Brazil? Because I saw the Brazilian pop accounts say Adele approved of Paula's cover of the song. And that there has not been official covers of the song before. Also, why would she do the song now after so many years?

 

Maybe it's just random, but I'm curious to listen to it anyway.

Aww. Yeah. Yesterday marked a full year since the last Vegas show.

 

It just feels bad and sad how Adele's gone fully no contact towards us. This is the first year maybe ever that she hasn't posted anything on her socials. Only Adele Access is trying to keep in touch with us a bit, but it's not the same because it's not her behind the account obviously. And I believe fan connection matters a lot now, in the streaming age. So she should work on that.

 

Definitely curious to see what her next Instagram post will be though. And hoping it is about new music.

Yes, I do. Paula was huge in the early 2010's here in Brazil. Tbh, I doubt Adele will ever come to Brazil after the "Million Years Ago" controversy. Everyone's innocent until proven guilty but people talking **** and assuming it's a plaggiarism beforehand must annoy her. (It annoys me). We need to deal with it.

 

I'm curious too. Paula's version of "Shallow" was a trainwreck but "Set Fire to the Rain" is a good song so she can't do no wrong. Her version will also have a music video, it seems. I'm triggered because the original song deserved better.

I saw Paula's latest Instagram post (translated) saying that the new EP is a revamped Paula with a hint of 2011. And I'm thinking... that's exactly what we want from Adele too!!

Yes! And literally that concept in Paula's video would work for Adele too. Like, just have her sing and get some actors to do most of the work in the video. Lol.

 

The I Drink Wine music video was cute, but we really need A to stand up and do something in the next video. Not just sitting down always.

 

Also, I hate that they made the Oh My God video black and white! Adele had the most beautiful red dress on, but what was the point of it if you can't even see the colors in video?? she needs to stop the black and white videos thing. It's getting tired.

Yeah and Christmas music is impacting Spotify a lot now, so Adele's numbers should be better in January. She's one of the few female artists who doesn't have any Christmas songs released. Truly an enigma. Lol.

But let's hope we start getting more info about the upcoming film role after the New Years, if nothing else.
