  • Oh, I remember when they did a Mariah special back in 2008 and she appeared on the show as a mentor.   Maybe Adele will be there too.

  • Saw Adele last night, it was f**king magical, she sounded amazing. best concert of my life 🥹🥹

  • Skyfall is up to #56 on the Global Shazam chart, #163 in the US, so there's a plenty of people just now discovering the song.   Set Fire to the Rain seems to be stuck at 1.4M daily streams o

Lol, if nothing else, Adele's been very active in the past few weeks. Almost daily public appearances

Never Mind the Super Bowl. We just need the new album

See you in 2040 :suburban:

So all the rumors that she would release new album, SB and world stadium tour turned out to be false LMAO.

Only SB has been debunked, though. I don't believe the her writing book thing. But it's been so long since the last album, if she hasn't thought about next album, should start now.

I'm still thinking about this what RideOrDie said in the thread I posted.

I wouldn't be mad at a 2026 Q4 release (I know boring) but I feel like that quarter of the year is where she thrives the most.
Would work also if she decided to embark on a Q1 2027 stadium tour

Oh My God received 140,000 streams on Spotify yesterday. Would be nice to see it get back to 200k at least. It's a banger. :gaycat2:

Also, To Be Loved is getting 50k streams daily. Deserves much more, obvi. But it has been increasing a bit lately.

21 17 x platinum! IKTR!
but where's xl getting the money from to update them?

I don't want to go out there and get defensive about the 25 sales record. I just miss Adele so much, hope she'd come back.

Just posting this 'cuz it's going viral.

Trying not to be salty about Adele's record being beaten lol. It's funny how no one is going to remember a single song from Taylor's MID album, especially the way how its powered by all these dumb ass variants, milking the **** out of her fans. I wonder if Taylor will get actual backlash for her sales tactics one day

Yeah, we just need her back. Everything will be alright then.

If there's a silver lining, I've seen a lot of praise for Adele online these past few days.

Although I believe she reached a whole another level of artistry with 30, there's specific songs on 25 that are among the best in music history, like Love in the Dark and When We Were Young (the live version is better, lol).

It's okay. If a fan is only going after the sales records, he/she can quit Adele now. I don't think she will ever top 25's sales. Most music star's sales naturally go down after the peak.

A good thing that's happening now is that all the album tracks on 30 are gaining streams. Only EOM is losing, and that's good, because we want people to listen to the other songs, not always just that one.

I've always wondered what could have happened if she dropped the whole album at once. It's like she blew most of the hype on Easy on me.

Maybe her next album she should not do a lead single. A lot of artists I think would benefit from a release style like that

Yeah. She could somehow tease the album before release, but it would be great for every song to get the same exposure.

Also, I've been thinking, it might have been a mistake to release the album at the end of November, because although 25 was released then too, it seems Christmas music has become much more relevant on the charts this decade. It's like they launched 30 right into the Christmas freeze.

They need some new ideas for A5. And please, no more Vegas. Lol.

Yes it's time for Adele to release and prove all her haters wrong :suburban:

I'm still shocked that 30 second week pure sales higher than TLOAS.

Can't believe that Adele in her flop era can still outsell Taylor in her smash era.

It's a proof that GP has always interested in her, but she's just lazy :suburban:

Yeah, and currently 55.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify. And that's with modest playlisting. She had 20-something million before 30 was announced. Regardless of what happened in 30 era, it helped to establish Adele on streaming.

I don't want to set her up by saying she's gonna do a certain number with the next lead or album, but this is definitely a better starting point than what she had in 2021.

Getting good pure sales would be nice, but because most of the GP just streams music, that should be the main focus when thinking about promo strategy.

I have a feeling Adele might have felt a bit of rejection regarding 30. I could be wrong, but she deliberately chose that path to make an album that fewer people would immediately connect with.

She even commented on this in a 2021 interview regarding the success of 'Hello,' saying she didn't want anything on the same dimension of success. However, I believe she might regret that now, which leads me to think that her next album will be very commercial, like 25. I think it might have hurt her ego a little that lately, everyone has been dragging her as if she no longer moves masses of people. But she absolutely does; we saw it in Munich. This makes me believe she'll come out all guns blazing for the next era, and it's bound to be a massive success.

Or Adele being Adele and continues her laziness and dont care attitude :suburban:

Her demand is absolutely still there; she has so many classics. Everything just needs a smart marketing play and the right strategy.

All artists have experienced a dip after huge, blockbuster albums—for example, Taylor went from a massive 1989 to Reputation, and then Lover. Lover only became a giant success because of The Eras Tour; they were brilliant at executing a strategy that resurrected her entire catalog. And that's exactly what Adele is missing. She released 30, did two TV specials, put out a terrible, low-effort performance for 'Easy On Me,' and then vanished. She only resurfaced for the BRITs. To be honest,  I truly believe they'll change course with the new album. With 30, they relied entirely on her name with zero strategy. The fact that the 'I Drink Wine' video came out two years after it was filmed was a huge embarrassment.

I also believe the pandemic factor seriously hampered the 30 album as a whole and all the plans Adele had for that era. By the time she released the album, she herself mentioned she no longer even connected with it. Commercially, I also think the pandemic severely affected 30's performance. Essentially, from my perspective, it was a whole succession of errors.

The biggest successes, however, were the TV specials, which earned her an Emmy, the Las Vegas Residency—which helped her conquer her fear of performing and facing large audiences—and the recent Munich shows, which undeniably proved she can still move masses. She just needs the right next steps. I hope Sony does everything to help Adele reclaim her record in the United States, because I really don't think it's impossible. All she needs is the right album, and Adele definitely knows how to deliver that. We saw a glimpse of it with 'Easy On Me,' which was essentially the only commercial track on 30.

Adele is now officially in the streaming era. The 30 era, at the very least, helped integrate her into this environment. 30 was her first album released entirely within the streaming model. If we look at other legacy artists who didn't start in this era, all of them had a relatively lower initial performance with their first few streaming-era albums.

Then, their audience adjusted, and they managed to win over new demographics. I believe the same thing will happen with Adele in her next era.

Yeah. And I agree with many of the points you've made in the posts above.

I definitely like 30, and all the long ballads where she sings her heart out, but she does have an ego, she's said it herself. So it would be interesting to know what she thinks about the 25 record being broken? And how much success she wants with the next album?

It's a bit sad how even a lot of the fans think that there will no new album in many years. Like, we almost expect nothing from her. But I would like to see more ambition from her. And a bit more faith in her from us.
