Changes to Moderating Team

Dear ATRL Community:

During yesterday’s mandatory community meeting, many issues were brought to the administration’s attention concerning moderator conduct, specifically that of Reinvention. After discussing the concerns internally, it was decided that Reinvention will be removed as a moderator effective immediately.

That said, we encourage the members of ATRL to not use this announcement as an opportunity to bash, smear, mock, or further litigate Reinvention’s past. Excessive attacks/harassment can be met with a WP.

Members should not be afraid to speak openly about the moderation. There would be no community without you. It is important that members see moderators as impartial enforcers; trusted support who can address concerns that arise within the community. Moderators cannot be seen as part of the problem.

In the interest of transparency, the following will be taking place:

1) The administration will be implementing a new moderator code of conduct that will go into effect in January.

2) We are reinstating our quarterly moderator audits that reviews moderator behavior, enforcement of policies and their contributions to the community. These audits will allow us to pre-empt issues arising and address them before it reaches critical levels.
