I just found this lyric video for closer which has 77 million views, even if it was posted 11months ago.

 

How is that possible? I thought that this song was forgotten.

I haven't heard this song on the radio for a long time. These guys are also forgotten. How can they get 230k views/ day with an unofficial lyric video?

If the song weren't so basic/monotonous/dry I would like it more cause issa bop

 

Like imagine someone like Kesha or Britney or, if I had to name a male, Jason Derulo singing it or something :jonny6: with more of a 'pop' spin on it

Well for starters it's the second video that comes up when you YT search 'Closer'. Not to mention the original lyric video + to a lesser exent official music video still receive a crap ton of views. Plus it's still Top 200 on global Spotify (after 4 years :rip:) and I'm sure its recurrent airplay is on the higher end. I'm in Canada and still hear this playing quite often for an old song. 

 

TCS days of chart dominance might be behind them, but a couple of their songs have fantastic recurrent stats and probably will continue to for a very long time.

Well its a copy of the fray, but it is cute. 

 

 

Song is a classic, not surprised, it's truly one of the most defining songs of this century. Funerals, weddings, graduations, etc.

GOD. I love this song, yesterday I have it on repeat. HALSEY DID THAT.
