trainsskyscrapers Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 (edited) Hmmm. Beyonce may sneak in. When I look at the point total of Irreplaceable.... some of her other solo hits/DC hits had larger totals. Very interesting anyways. Edit: I'm also seeing glee covers counting too? - John Mayer's XO cover may count additionally. Edited December 10, 2019 by trainsskyscrapers

Ash12345 Posted December 10, 2019 Author Posted December 10, 2019 97. Justin Timberlake Points: 16,632 Beginning as a member of boy band NSYNC in the late 90s, Justin Timberlake left the group to start his own solo career in the early 00s, teaming up with some of the most successful songwriter-producers of the decade, such as Danja, Timbaland, Scott Storch, Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo. Although he didn't have writing credits on most NSYNC songs, he co-wrote the songs from his solo career and eventually began co-producing his songs and even writing songs for other artists. While his solo career has been on the decline in the last couple years, he still had writing credits on the 3rd biggest hit of 2019. Yup, any covers that charted count, whether that's Glee covers, The Voice covers, or Pop Goes Punk covers, although most of those won't count for much since they usually only chart for a week or two from iTunes sales. In the 60s-80s covers were really common though so a lot of the older songwriters will have multiple entries for their big hits due to a bunch of artists covering them.
cuneytb Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 Wow i didn't know JT did write so many tracks
Cherry123 Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 That's surprising. Yeah, Gaga won't make it. Please post her numbers then x
Timber Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 I thought he would do more with NSYNC. Gosh, whoever is number 1 is legendary cuz this is already so much. I'm expecting Dr. Luke, Max Martin, and Paul McCartney to be in the top 10.
alfonso12 Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 OMG I didn't know SZA's The Weekend sampled Justin and it was my top track of 2016.
Timber Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 I wonder why Wiki put Independent Woman part 1 like this. Confusing. Beyoncé Knowles Cory Rooney (Part 1) Samuel Barnes (Part 1) Jean-Claude Olivier (Part 1) Rapture Stewart (Part 2) Eric Seats (Part 2) Frank Comstock (Part 2) David Donaldson (Part 2)
