RIAA also says Telephone is solo so clearly their crediting system is off.

OT: Congrats to Ed and Bey for the worldwide smash Perfect, which is certified 8x Platinum in the US! :fan:

How much did the duet contribute to that? 500k? If that?

Beyonce's Perfect wins again

Clearly you made this post to start drama. I prefer factual information. I’m sure the ACTUAL Ed/Bey version has great numbers and it did indeed go #1. But it’s silly to combine his solo numbers with the duet and claim it to be the same

I think that "Perfect" will be the newest song to reach 2.5 M, and maybe even 2.0 M. Shape Of You may reach 3 M, but Despacito could indeed be the newest song to get 3 M.

I didn’t combine anything, RIAA, Billboard, and chartdata did. :cm:

But that's what they do. The Duet's #s are combined with the solo version to get the certification.

Don't remix sales add to the original song?  I thought the sales were combined

We don’t need to convince anything, Billboard specifically said so. :fan:

Considering Bey's pretty local and it only sold 1.3 in the states, 500k seems to high. I'm guessing like 150k.
