If CMT allows this performance to be seen on YT and Vevo, he'll get a HUGE streaming boost too. Remember, he only has the audio of the song and a very basic lyric video for viewing right now.  Here he would actually have a performance video.

Those are some truly awful lyrics. I admit, I don't like Pop anyway, but here Bieber sounds desperate trying to find words to rhyme.  Also the song's syllables don't even match.  He should've come up with something better than that.  On top of that, the music sounds dated, not retro, DATED, to the extent of a time back before he was even born.

My formats, which you see in my signature, are Active Rock, Country, Christian, Alternative, and AAA. Sam Hunt actually leans more Rhythmic than Pop.

 

Active Rock I prefer from 2000-present, As for Country, I like the traditional songs all the way to the Rhythmic and Urban leaning hits, and everything in between. At Alternative, I am happy that the format has started playing more Alt Rock again and less Alt Pop. We don't have an AAA station in Tampa, but I like the hits I hear okay. Christian should be self-explainable.

 

I also listen to some HAC, though even they have gotten too Pop heavy at times. Now, HAC is beginning to pick Rock, Alternative, AAA, and Country back up again. Sales and streaming, along with the size of the songs, determine which songs are worth playing. Then again, The Sound Of Silence had the sales and streaming to justify airplay (Double Platinum now), but it couldn't even get traction at HAC.

Meh. It's pop with r&b influences but pop and only pop at the core 

Break Up In A Small Town had two different leans. The studio version is Rhythmic-friendly. The live version is straight up Rock.
