Especially if the song has naturally been smashing for months, and is only at #2 on the Hot 100 because of the biggest song of the decade :lmao:

:rip:

because of a "desperate" remix no less

it works both ways.

SCREAM i'm here for it :rip: if itunes allows that kind of thing.

I honestly don't care if they appear at the VMA's throwing out "buy Wild Thoughts on itunes" leaflets into the crowd.

Rih hasn't fully pushed a single for years now, if someone else is willing to do it for her, then people can fume and get over it :cm:  Discounts are common practice with almost every artist now. Its not "desperate"

6-7 years? LMAO :ahh:

Finally some movement. P!nk #1 with a pretty big lead. Wild Thoughts and Despacito both discounted and fighting each other

People crying about Wild Thoughts' discount are a mess :rip: First and foremost, we don't even know if it will work or not; secondly, the song is already a hit on its own, it's not like it was outside the iTunes top 100; finally, it's been a common practice since a few years and it will continue to, until iTunes fixes 0.69 cents as the standard price

So they actually discounted "Despacito" :rip: Things are getting very exciting these next weeks.

P!nk with that great lead :clap3:

Anti is the only era Rihanna stopped "caring" about her singles...yall being dramatic

Where did she promote You Da One, Talk That Talk, Right Now, and What Now in the US?

Edited by One Nation

I feel like she stopped putting in maximum effort around the TTT era. WFL had that one X-Factor performance and a Grammy performance (which was the time when the song had already spent its 10 weeks at number one). If you compare the promo she did with Loud to TTT, Una and Anti combined, it would probably be roughly the same.

I was thrilled reading about 0.69 Thoughts being discounted UNTIL I saw Despacito being discounted too. Argh. I hope with P!nk being on the lead right now, Wild Thoughts can somehow jump and BLOCK D from breaking the record! :duca:

I guess America is finally woke up, yeah? I guess everything gonna happen in a matter of few hours then sales will stabilize? I hope WT will gain a huge boost while Despacito not. Next 3-4 weeks are going to be the most exciting :duca: :duca: :duca:

YDO got swallowed by WFL the same way Shut Up and Drive got devoured by Umbrella...it was released in WFL's like 5th week at #1 :skull:

TTT was scrapped as a single

Can RN even be considered as a single? It was just used in a campaign

What Now i always thought was just a video she wanted to do

The only legitimate case about a song smashing harder is LOTB because it had no video or performance during its release

The only excuse you made which is somewhat accurate is YDO.

TTT went for adds on all three of her major formats, it just didn't get a video because Blue was born but that wouldn't have stopped her from performing it.

Right Now was the third single and also got an adds date. She didn't bother releasing a video even through the Diamonds tour hadn't even started.

What Now was also a single and went for adds. It just got a video.

She's just half assed most her singles post LOUD point blank.

TTT was scrapped once that video wasnt filmed...i always believed the era was done at that point thats probably why I didnt take RN and WN seriously as singles

Diamonds and Stay were well promoted and I believe she was at the point where her name alone could carry a single (hence why she did it during the Anti era)

And I say this because S&M didnt get a performace until after it hit #1 and was dying off

why is one version of wild thoughts gaining way more hugely than the other?

One is on HT the other isn't.

I don't care if the clean or explicit one is slaying, but here's the thing - Khaled might have an idea of pushing clean firstly, making it into top 10, then remove it from hot tracks and put explicit there... Would that work? Both versions would get exposure.

THEY DID THAT. Explicit version on Hot Tracks :ahh::dies:
