Waves was a false start but they scrapped Waves for Motivation. This is her first single for the album and her first as a solo artist. I’m just being defensive because this all started from someome comparing Normani with Taylor Swift

Beyoncé released I Got That with Amil and 03 Bonnie and Clyde with Jay-Z before she released Work It Out. Edit: WIO was before 03 B&C but that’s 3 singles before her lead Love Lies was a soundtrack single just like Work It Out The song with Calvin wasn’t officially released as a single. He just dropped the EP out of nowhere.

She had less than 434k subscribers before the video so that’s really good! Where are you getting 6 from? She’s had 3 official singles but Love Lies was for a movie soundtrack, Dancing with A Stranger was a duet with Sam, and we’re not sure if Waves is making the album. Her Crying in the Club Checklist with Calvin wasn’t an official single and it’s not gonna be in her album.

It was a messy release. He announced the album’s release date and set up the preorder 2 weeks before the album was released. NF released the track list, release date, and preorder 2 months before release. It would’ve also helped more if he didn’t keep the features a secret
